Umm, I'm doing the four challenges on the mountain, and I'm stuck at the point where there are these two statues with the Nazcaan writing. What exactly am I supposed to do? Translating the script says olieh and oheuf. Any help?
It was backwards, lol. How do I delete this?

You guys shouldn't try to be so clever with the website. Someone without a maximized browser or with a different resolution just sees a blank page. At least have an else in the script that goes to a default version.

Hi. You're talking about the two bull statues at the beginning? You need to use spells, left is fireball (bola de fuego) and right is frostbite (escarcha). And the four animals statues is: dog= healing touch (caricia curativa), rooster= nature's tongue (habla universal), bull= is draw poison (remedio), dragon= spring lock (abrelotodo).

Hey, just passing by, wondering if the English translation was going on :) I'd reallyyyy love to play this game :P Unlocky for me, I don't speak Spanish at all so yeah, waiting for some good people with a good heart to translate the game <3

I think the english translation is in progress.
As long as we don't have giving up information in the english thread, I'll just assume the new translator is active :)

Remember the Familiars' unknown key?
I have finished to figure out how it's created so its meaning.

The key is just a way to share Familiar information, maybe their idea was to implement a global sharing mechanisms without Internet connection. Similar to "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon" with the rescues where sharing a code you could save another player or the old games without flash memories to save data and you have to input a long random code.
In this case, the key contains the following Familiar information, some random numbers and a lot of encryption.
  • First 4 chars of the name (in the Japanese/original game the Familiar name length was 4 kanjis, in the Spanish patch we increased to 7 chars so here we have a little bug).
  • Level
  • Brand
  • Internal index
  • HP
  • MP
  • Attack
  • Deffense
  • Magic Attack
  • Magic Defense
  • Ability
In the case of HP, MP, Magic Attack, Magic Defense and Ability, the game divide the number so it's multiple of 8, it takes less bits and fits in the key. It lost some precision (ie: 22 is rounded to 16) but that allows higher values, up to 1024.

Hi, I started translating Ni No Kuni Shikkoku no Madoushi into Bulgarian. I'm already to the trials cave. I try to translate everything - NPCs, Side Quests, etc. If I can be of any help with the English translation. I have created an application which takes screenshots from the emulator, then does a simple OCR, and then looks up the dialogs from a text files which contain the japanese to bulgarian translation. Here's a sample screenshot:

i am not familiar with the Japanese language nor romhacking, and philip has no time to translate this

You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)

I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted.
