The Wii U already has no games, I think getting it bad games just makes its situation even worse.

The petition has gone up to 341 signatures. Thanks everyone for signing. But don't forget to spread it around. Put it on your facebook, twitter, email it to your friends, etc.

Edit - Now it's at 468! Keep it up.

New kingdom hearts 3 gameplay trailer released.

I see nothing that says that couldn't be done on Wii U.

You're either blind or in denial...
Firstly, actually look at a video that isnt actually blurred to hell so you can actually notice the detail:

Secondly, they said consoles supporting a certain Direct X and I dont think Wii U quite supports that.

Thirdly, Early development, could look even better by the time its approaching final.

Fourthly, Seriously, just look at the particles and the lights. The Wii U couldnt even handle that ship, no way, significantly ported down maybe, but you should understand doing this costs money and time.

I dont even understand why this petition is going on. I dont know why you wouldnt want a PS4/X1 anyway, unless you only play Nintendo games, in which case you shouldnt be bothered about this anyway, or you have a PC, which KH may come to....maybe...though fingers arent so crossed for that really, definitely getting on PS4 anyway though. Can't see Wii U getting a lot of 3rd party ports, seeing its struggling to get them now, so if you cared about certain 3rd party games, you'd have to get a PS4/X1/PC eventually anyway for them.

You can see DirectX 11-specific particle effects on first glance in this trailer, they'd have to re-work the thing to be OpenGL-compatible instead... which is silly considering that the Wii U audience in non-existant in the grand scheme of things.

No, it does not natively support DirectX 11 features. I quote:

My point is that they can make use of DirectX11 API on Wii U, there is objectively very little work that has to be done. Worst case scenario that would have to use DirectX10, but that's not even close to reworking the game to use OpenGL.

It would be nice to see this game on Wii U, seeing how this board loves games being multiplat, everyone seems contrarian to this one.

In other words, they would have to re-work the rendering engine to work on a platform not designed to run it... which requires time, effort, a workforce, a lot of Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V and most importantly "cares", the last of which Square-Enix does not seem to have when it comes to the tiny Wii U audience. In other words, the potential expenses and an inevitable delay outweigh the possible benefits.

And yet they are taking the risks of putting the game on Xbox One? Something isn't right here.

Only when it means that games come to Nintendo platforms. Quite a few people went apeshit over Rayman Legends, if I recall correctly.

Anyway, this isn't an issue of us not wanting Nintendo to get games. It's just a matter of practicality. Square Enix does not have a worthwhile incentive to bring the game over to the Wii U at its current state, and these meager petitions aren't going to magically change that fact.

And yet they are taking the risks of putting the game on Xbox One? Something isn't right here.

The Xbox One is pretty similar to the PS4 when it comes to infrastructure, so it's going to be a whole lot easier and cheaper to just develop for both and cover their bases.

Tiny Wii U audience? What the fuck; how could you say something like that?!?! :gun:
I suppose we're a very vocal minority, which is what we're SUPPOSED to be, especially if we want Square Enix to release a game for a series that has always been on Nintendo FOR the Nintendo. Grand Theft Auto V will provide years of financial support to the PS4 and XboxOne; we need this one to bring months of support to the Wii U. :)

This one is better because he included square's email. So every time someone signs, change.org will let square-enix know.
Awesome. Because spamming a company's public support e-mail it totally going to make this happen. </sarcasm>

...the XBox One pre-orders began flowing in naturally after they retracted their silly policies and now the system is getting closer and closer to the PS4 last time I checked?

Hell, in a lot of stores they actually ran out of pre-orders for the "first wave" of the two systems a good few months ago. For all intents and purposes, more people pre-ordered the XBox One than the XBox 360 back in the day.

I'm almost willing to wager that there are more pre-ordered PS4's and XBox One's than Wii U's sold worldwide, or at least it's a very comparable number - what do you think is a better investment?

What the what?! This game got popular on the PS2, which is a SONY product. In fact the best Kingdom Hearts games have only been for SONY products. Nintendo has just gotten the shitty side story garbage.

Because it's true.

:^)

I suppose we're a very vocal minority, which is what we're SUPPOSED to be, especially if we want Square Enix to release a game for a series that has always been on Nintendo FOR the Nintendo.

The first game was made for the PS2, as was its main sequel. SE has never released a console KH title for a Nintendo platform. So...

Grand Theft Auto V will provide years of financial support to the PS4 and XboxOne; we need this one to bring months of support to the Wii U.

So what you're saying is, Nintendo is so desperate that they need Square Enix's charity to survive?

Wow, it's worse than I thought.

Sounds just like the Wii U pre-launch. Pre-launch hype isn't exclusive to the Xbox One, but this isn't my point.

The Wii U's userbase is probably more suited for a game like Kingdom Hearts. Because the casual dudebros on Xbox all want that Disney RPG.
