Hacking N5 and Pokemon Black/White?

My friend has had an N5 for a couple years now. He knows about the whole "blah blah blown fuse blah" etc.
He cant get the translated/patched black or white v6 to run. When the rom finishes loading it simply whitescreens and does not leave the screen.

Is wood r4 or a similar program compatible by any chance?

I have an N5 too (It is the greatest slot-1 card ever, trust me I own one

), and I got the patched pokemon working, First patch the game then use redolph's patch, after that download something called WAIO or Retrogamefan's firmware, I recommend WAIO, but if you want to use WAIO you have to defrag the savefile by using defragler program for windows, but WAIO is hard to find since its author deleted his project.
