Oh, the reason I ask is because there's a lot of fake signed ones under 200 as well?
Yeah, the official 4.3 update includes a clean copy of almost ALL the normal IOS so that should overwrite all the fakesigned ones you currently have UNDER 200. That will be the next step. Just to make sure, we can do a syscheck again when it's done.

EDIT : the only ones it wouldn't replace are the ones that we're deleting manually.

Hmm, I'm guessing those might be important ones not to delete or they may very well be ones with a certain patch applied. IDK TBH

Which ones are marked like that?

uh...a lot of them. get ready:

254,251,248,246,245,224,223,222,202,80,41,0,250,249,57,56,70,61,55,53,38,60,50,37,36,28,22,14,34,35,33,31,21,17,15,13,12,,9

actually.now that I look. It seems the only ones with the "!" are the fakesigned ones.

Actually, I was hoping for an official Nintendo update through the system menu. That's the best way to be sure it includes EVERYTHING and it would look more legit.

So you want me to update to whatever the newest one is through regular system nintendo update?

Also, not trying to insult you. But I read somewhere that when you make your wii a virgin. It does NOT delete CIOS files. Which could be a problem...

The cIOS are the ones over 200. That's why we were deleting those manually.

are you absolutely sure? should I delete them even if they aren't fake signed? and you said delete the korean ones too right? which ones of those were again?

Just don't want to delete anything offical by accident.

Alright. I will watch this thread, and we can talk later. But for now...
Should I delete the IOS's over 200,delete the korean ones, and update via the actual wii system? for now I mean.

The system menu update should replace anything official. The only potentially korean one you have is 41.
The ones over 200 are definitely the cIOS. They'd be the most obvious ones that show it's a hacked Wii.

41 is korean

yes, that's right, (as long as you've already uninstalled PriiLoader and any suspicious channels)
remove cIOS
remove 41
update

...

Then you can do another syscheck to make sure it looks good.
FYI, the system update will also get rid of BootMii so don't panic if you don't see it when it boots up again.

...

What you would do last would be
run the hackmii installer and uninstall the HBC
and then (optionally) format the wii in the system menu settings

DISCLAIMER NOTE : This is generally still risky and not something to be recommending friends to do. Hope Nintendo is fooled by this.

EDIT : Okay, got to go now. Hope everything works out. I'll be checking back.

ok, I should also mention in "hidden channels" there's one called "DISC" which is fake signed

also, when I update will I be able to still use homebrew? I still need to install bootmii. I have a week or two before it needs to be sent.

I'll wait for your reply whenever you're on again. thank you so much.

everytime I try to update my wii I get an error code? the internet connection works fine. But when it asks to update and I do, it just gives me error code 32007

I don't recommend updating to 4.3, or running an official update. If he uses something like ModMii he can install fresh IOS's anyway.

I'd like it if he ran a SysCheck with the LATEST version.
http://code.google.com/p/syscheck/downloads/list

I think I saw beta 13 in that report.
