I need help with my gamecube controller on usbloadergx

So I bought a gamecube controller adapter for wiiu/switch and a gamecube controller for my wii because I have a family edition wii so it doesn't have the ports for it. I tried playing some wii games on usbloadergx with it and the controller wasn't working and I know for sure you can use it with the games I tried. But when I use nintendont the controller works correctly because I was playing sonic adventure with no issues. Are there any different files I need for it to work on usbloadergx? Or a setting I need to change? Please help
