don't take it for granted!

they said that's how it "should" be, so there's still a possibility that they can't do it.

I'd actually tend to think that they'll have to release a new version of the R4 (R4 v2?), a mere firmware replacement just sounds too good to be true!

I don't care about SDHC since i find them expensive.

Why buy a costly 4GB card when you can by two 2GB's for £10 saving
you a ton of money?

A 2GB card is enough for me. and if it turns out 2GB isn't
enough then i have a 1GB lying around getting un used.

But think of the future...
Maybe in one year a 8gb mSDHC costs as mutch as a 1gb...
And if a DS ONE user wants a bigger card he has to buy a new flashlinker, a DS ON SDHC, a R4 user has only to download the new software....

yes, he said it isnt 100% sure that it will be implementet, but even the idea....

32 GB cards are in the works. By the time they hit mainstream I am sure 4 GB will be cheap.

I am excited about SDHC support, but I probably will not rush to buy a compatible MicroSDHC right away. At the moment I can fit a load of DS games, heap of GBA ones and a volume of mangas on my trusty 1 GB Kingston.

Don't forget that there's a major advantage with SDHC carts though: they are much faster (faster read/write speeds) which means there shouldn't be any more slowdown in game.

Wouldn't the SDHC cards slow down games for the R4? I remember reading somewhere that the 4gb microSD is already pushing access rates on the R4, and have comparable lag (?) to the 1gb microSDs. I guess that R4 + SDHC + DS Lite = a good investment for a media player.

Edit: LOL Just as i wrote this, Costello addressed the problem. SDHC FTW.

why it wont happen?
In times the SD Format was new as a data medium 512mb card costed about 20€....
now you can get a 2gb for 12€....

Doesn't really affect me. I'm fine with 2GB... I don't fill my Simply up with junk I will never use.

Holy mother, SD cards are getting enourmous.

I only use about 1 to 1.5 gigs at a time. But then I am always taking stuff off and putting stuff on my R4, so a 4 GB SDHC will mean that I can keep everything on. Hooray!

cos SDHC cards have faster speeds? Meaning you can get 8gig in one SD card and not worry about slow speeds + changing SD cards.
