That's not funny. Even for a joke.
I thought it was pretty funny. God forbid anyone actually pirates on this site!!!!111111000!
I think there's a lot you don't get about how this all works.
Pipedream or not, GW is really on their last leg here. My gawd, BootNTRselector just wasted GW's cheats, and was easier to install than risking GW payloads locking me out of RedNAND. I will not, and I repeat WILL NOT / HAVE NOT run GWemuNAND since A9LH was released. I am not wasting my time with a multi boot to watch one update faster than the speed of light, and the other get stuck in emuNAND hell waiting for a damn payload.
All emuNAND is the same, it's not exclusive to Gateway. The emuNAND you use for Luma is the same emuNAND you use for Gateway, Cakes, Corbenik, etc. unless you're running multiple emuNANDs. emuNAND is an emulated NAND cloned from sysNAND and run off of your SD card. If you're an emuNAND user, this update won't affect you because it will only stop Gateway from booting and not Luma. The case is different for sysNAND only users, I suppose since people have been reporting it I have no choice to believe it but using sysNAND only and booting into Gateway mode after updating to 11.3 will remove A9LH. It will not brick your console, just remove A9LH, and considering this has only happened to 3 people, I'm sure it won't be as big a threat.
And I just wanna say, without Gateway, 90% of NTR's cheat library wouldn't exist. cell9 is back, maybe he'll improve the cheat menu, but for now, no. "BootNTRSelector" doesn't even make cheats, it just boots NTR. Plugins are NTR's job, and even then, as it stands, Gateway's cheat menu is far easier to deal with.
What's even more shocking is how quickly Smeah had A9LH payloads updated/upgraded (less than a week after 11.3, and they fixed booting to sysNAND without SD) and GW still hasn't fixed their single payload?
Seriously, wtf!!??
Smea*
Smea didn't update A9LH. A9LH was never patched for people who already had it, lmao. Smea updated his userland homebrew which is mainly unrelated to A9LH. Once again, A9LH is not a CFW, it is an entrypoint. BootNTR was broken as it always is after an update, but Nanquitas hacked together a fix in a couple hours, and that still isn't a payload or a CFW. Just an app that boots the "CFW" we know as NTR. Normally, Gateway would have fixed their emuNAND support by now, last time it was fixed in 7 days and before that it would be fixed in a day or two, but as they've announced they are working on their "next big feature that will revolutionize the (N)3DS Scene once again. (Their words, not mine.)
Sure, you could multi boot with an emuNAND, but why!!??? Why would I make my life more difficult just to play my GW? Screw that. It was bad enough chainloading and having to soft reboot to get out of GW mode.
Once again, you seem to be mistaken about what emuNAND is, but I've explained it earlier so I'll just stop right there. In any case, running two CFWs is gonna result in you having to softreboot to switch. Literally just assign your payload to a button press and download the Quick Reboot app if it's that difficult for you. Luma is not the only CFW that exists, and assuming that everything should just be built into Luma is disrespectful to say the least.
Again, I know it seems like a pipedream, but if GW could get their RedCART to work on Luma3DS (without a payload) it would make my life easier, and would probably keep the damn cart in my case, at best. Otherwise, it keeps morphing from extra storage, to plastic junk.
Then stop complaining and throw your card away already
Anybody want a GW RedCART? I'm about to throw this thing out. Even the BlueCART has more functionality at this point...
Sure I'll take it off your hands
