Phew! Finally back from work. I don't recommend working for Japanese employers. They will make you T.I.R.E.D!

Those are some pretty sweet graphics, Ricky_!

I've managed to avoid IRC all these years of my life, so I'm kind of n00bish at it. I just download mIRC (or whatever you crazy kids are on these days) and I'm good to go right?

I'm kind of an amateur script writer (and I mean amateur) so I can't wait to get into translating some of this storyline.

I know that there are a lot of them, but some focus should be put on the mission lists, because I never know what I need to do in that mission, I just have to always hope its a mission that all I do is defeat the others.

Yes, just take mIRC and check the server list. join the Efnet server (whichever you want), and once you are connected type /join #ffta2-trans
change your nick name with /nick zombielove

There are many blocks of text in the roms.
We extracted some of them and we are now on the way to recognize them and name it so we can focus on each part of the game (skills part, item parts, names, etc.).
There might be one for the mission.
We let you know which one is done.

Anyways, after just discovering and reading all 13 pages or so of this discussion, just wanted to convey my appreciation and gratitude. Looking forward to the finished translation.

Yup, I must abide, it's quite... Impressive :wtf:

After that, our FFTA-2 team will save the world from pollution and corruption.

There's only 3-4 screenshots of a text edit. >_>
And yes, you have to wait for a patch.

I made a progress report on the Wiki.
http://wiki.gbatemp.net/index.php?title=Fi...urrent_progress
this is a temporary report, there will be another place to work on the files.

If you want to join and help us, you are welcome.
Tell us which part you want to do.

You can also help with already done file (like checking back for errors), but doing undone file is better.
I didn't play FFTA1 on GBA, maybe there are name's reference I don't know.
0-66 seems to be main characters, there might be references on this part that I don't know

B]Edit[/B] : the new place to go to work on the project

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare

@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
