this game kinda sucks, i was hoping it would a lot more but this game really fails. The things that fail for me are:
The battle system , you can't even see your hero which and you can't even see there attacks
The monster popping up rate pisses me off
You have to press y to see the map kinda annoying wish it was a different button
the whole menu setup is weird and annoying for me

I prefer DQ IX was a lot better.

oh. well don't play it. i actually like it because the graphics are still kind of good(i love cartoons ), but it makes the gameplay super fast. and use the holy water or whatever its called in this version to keep them away.
dude, you should go translate dqm joker: 2 if you aren't gonna play this game

Where is this dream loop? Ive been playing and havent had any problems.

the dream loop is at the beginning. after getting through to the boss guy, he levitates all three of you and then you wake up in your home town with tania... well the dream loop makes it so you wake up at the very very beginning again at the fireplace. you can never get to your home town, so you can't really start the game.
That is a strange anti-piracy measure. Hmm...

It makes the game appear to be a dream within a dream within a dream, so on and so forth.

The Vuvuzela Michel Jackson AAP was fun though

At least this one doesn't let you get all the way to the boss then wipe your save games.

Welcome to DQ, lol. Stay near town and grind until you're strong enough. You might have to heal after every battle at first, that's just how it is.

Hard? I've found it easier than other dragon quest games (well the start at least). Did you buy a shield in the first town? That would help a lot.

Well!
I am stuck in the game and need some help!
When you are in Amor you should go into the church to move forward but it is a priest in the way that refuses to let me .. Does anyone know what to do?

When you get to Amor:

You will check the Inn to rest and find that they are booked. If you check the church, there is a priest upstairs, at a desk to the left. Talk to him and he will offer boarding for the night. You will then proceed down into the basement via the door on the first level, talk to the woman, and go to sleep.

You should know what to do from there.

Hi! Could somebody help me. I got to the second town (where bazzaar is), there i have bought the best equipment they could offer, and now all monsters on the map couldn't hit me most of times (they always miss), and i kill almost all of them in 1 hit. So the question is- Is this normal for DQ6 or this is some form of AP/glitch of patched version? I have previously played DQ4 and DQ5 - they were much harder!Help much appreciated.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

i think only the red mario kart edition phat was v5

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
