Bungie's Destiny series will seemingly get a new entry this year, according to leaked retail information. An Italian GameStop poster shows that a beta for the new "Destiny 2" will be available before the game's release, which was also revealed to likely be on September 8, 2017. According to larger news sites, Bungie will be making an official announcement for the game this afternoon. The biggest surprise, though, is that there are plans for a PC port of the game this time around. Stay tuned for future updates on this post.

Because no console game lasts ten years, let alone one with a focus on online play. The PC version should extend the life of the sequel, though. Assuming it turns out decent, that is.

A 10 year IP is a better way to describe it. They can't keep updating the same game for 10 years. Especially if they want it to work on newer hardware that may come.
