It’s about time. After some patient waiting, Nintendo Switch owners will finally be able to get their hands on Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. The game was also announced to be headed to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Battle.net. If you own the last-gen console versions, Activision says you’ll be able to upgrade to the upgraded 4K 60fps versions for free. Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch version costs $39.99 and runs at 1080p/30fps when docked, and 720p in handheld mode. Crash 4 will release on PS5, Xbox Series consoles, and the Nintendo Switch on March 12th, with the PC port to release “later this year”.

I think preordering it comes with some skins. when I preordered it a few hours ago, it mentioned a skin pack on top of the game for free. I don't know if it's just for preordering the game or if you get them for buying the game digitally or if you can get them for free no matter when you buy the game or where you buy it from.

Not just that, there's some skins exclusive only to the PS version iirc, plus there's the bs with the codes you've to get from US-only candies for some skins, even one by subbing to an interent provider iirc... Along with everything being hella expensive to buy with the in-game currency, so you've to grind your ass off if you want most of the stuff, all to tempt you into just buying the fake money with real money, eh. Fuck Shitctivision.

I notice a face lift in terms of the use of Shaders. I do not know if it is an update to a new generation or only for Switch, in which it would be something more Cartoon so that it does not harm the reduction of textures too much.

I think tetris 99 and animal crossing have event specific stuff (not really dlc but items). I have both games including the tetris 99 offline dlc, but I haven't really played them, so I missed out. I hate stuff like that.

Apparently the Nintendo Switch version will run at 1080p in the Dock and 720p in portable mode, however at 30fps.

I'm curious to see how it will look on the Nintendo Switch, the Xbox One S barely reaches 60fps and sometimes even drops below 20fps in that game.

Apparently instead of doing like other Nintendo Switch ports where they only lower the resolution, they went more on the same path that Square took with Dragon Quest XI and re-worked the models, lighting, shadows and etc... for to fit the Nintendo Switch, that was a hell of a lot of work.

True! I'm still waiting for the remakes of FF7, Resident Evil 3 and THPS 1+2, that are already out for other platforms. It's a shame if these don't get released on the Switch-O.

final fantasy 7 remake seems unlikely. what's kinda sad about that game is it probably cost several times more than animal crossing to develop yet animal crossing has sold what 33 million and ff 7 remake sold maybe 4 million, both are on only one console too. they're both almost a year old as well.

Yeah, that's a shame. Maybe they will consider it, since FFXII was released on the Switch, what confirms that FF7 could make it too, even if they changed the graphics a bit to make it run properly. It surprises me that they will let this one slip. But oh well, who understands Nintendo or Square Enix/Square Co.?

I don't think it's on the ps4 even to this day. it's sold over a million copies. for a new ip and only one system, that's not too bad. any game that sells over 1 million or close to it could be deemed a success.

I didn't try the remastered version yet. But I believe you when you say it's way better than the version on the PSX Classic.

I couldn't agree more when it comes to sales. Over a million copies should mean the game is a success, at least on sales. Opinions about the game itself may differ, but what the companies behind it are looking for is profit. And once sold, money is in their pocket and sales are labelled as successful as you could expect.

the psx classic version is very ugly. it took me a bit to go through the game. I got stuck in about four places, but I figured out what to do. I'm at around 40 hours. I got killed in the northern cave though from getting attacked from behind shortly after you get split up to where you only have two characters. I was actually attacked from both sides and lv3 flare killed me as the enemies kept casting it. I don't think I have any of the best weapons, not sure where they are either.

octopath traveler is quite good especially if you like a challenge. my friend told me bravely default is similar in that it's hard, and that new one comes out in a couple weeks. it may be from the same team, not sure.
