Has anyone tested or noticed how long can you run GBArunner2 on a DS Lite compared to a DS game on a flashcart? Does it take less or more battery?
That would be interesting to know, but I would guess gbarunner2 takes more battery.

Last weekend, I installed Twilight Menu ++ on my DS Lite, and used GBARunner2 to play Donkey Kong Country 2's GBA version. To me, it looked like the battery consumption was likely the same from what I remember playing a few GBA games with a EzFlash on slot-2 (although it was almost 10 years ago).

Despite of that, I guess it's still a pretty decent battery consumption.

Try asking over at the GBA subforum here, someone might help you. Mention which games you want in case it'll help/make it easier.

Edit: I found this thread with some guides:

https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-do-i-patch-cheats-into-gba-roms.412403/

You might find more/newer ones if you ask! :)
I already tried to inject cheats via a trainer following this guide using gbaatm that should work on VC injections, but this is not supported in GBARunner2 yet it seems. I didn't test the actual roms in injections though, but they did work in mGBA.

From what I can tell you have these options of what RAM addresses to use:
0x3007FA0
0x3007FC0
0x3007FD0
0x3007FE0

I only tested the first one.
Here's a download to gbaatm that I used:
http://cyclods.wikidot.com/homebrew:gbaatm

Also @mte90 is making his own build of gbaatm:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/gbaatm-rebirth-gba-auto-trainer-maker-a-new-hope.564321/
https://github.com/Mte90/GBAATM-Rebirth

EDIT: I might see if I can inject them without the trainer menu and just have them always enabled if that's possible. Anyone else who cares more about this is of course welcome to try.

Is there a way to make the patched European version of Super Mario Advance 4 (the one released years ago on the WiiU eShop that contains all the e-Reader levels) work with GBARunner2? On first boot, the game runs as it normally should but as soon as I go to "Level Card" it almost immediately turns into a black screen and freezes. Then, every attempt at booting the game again results in a white screen not right from the gba bios intro, instead, right after the Game Boy Player logo. Same happens if I don't do anything important, like finishing the first level, saving and resetting or simply resetting the game from the menu. Deleting the .sav file enables me to run the game as if it were my first boot but again, not much I can do other than that. If somebody might be able to help me with fixing this it would be really great.

I tested a US release that has a palette hack and e reader patch applied with the latest gbarunner2 build.

The e reader level work fine on my 3DS with the .3ds gbarunner build.
Maybe a case of highcode, because they don´t work on my base ds.

I did that and followed the other steps but both my dsi(s) didn’t connect to each other

I’m using twilight++ for dsi with the lastest build of gbarunner2 got both dsi(s)
Here's a list of games that were tested at some point:

Not all wifi link games will work. Also many environmental factors can affect your mileage. I've personally never got it to work. A good game to start with to test is Mario Kart Super Circuit. If you get that one to connect then you can try others.

I don't really know how to name this issue; just take a look at this picture, specifically on the border frame. I'm using an Old 2DS, booting .gba roms directly through TWiLightMenu ++.

Does anyone knows a fix for it?

Hello.:)

Today I have one of the increasingly rare "Errors" from GBARunner.:D

The 2 - 1 Game "ChuChu Rocket/Columns Crown" (EU Version)
when starting "Columns Crown" it stays on this Screen on the New3DS XL and DSi.
(GBARunner Build Date 21.04.2020 Hash:088cbc59bd8931a08d14d00ad92e5c759921f9cd included in TWiLight Build V15.0.1)

Usually in 2-1 games or 3-1 there's one or several games that don't work. If these games exist as single roms you should try that.

Sorry, here's the picutre.

That's the TwlBg bug that exists because Nintendo didn't make their nds side of the 3DS console properly. This occasionally happens when playing normal ds roms/carts.

Hopefully this mistake of Nintendo can be remedied/circumvented/alleviated in later updates to gbarunner2, but this is not a problem due to gbarunner2. As a matter of fact if you use gbarunner2 on a DSi or DS you won't experience this.
