Homebrew GBARunner2

Damn, that's alright though. I understand it's an experimental feature, but will GBARunner2 ever implement 3-4 player linking? Or would GBARunner3 implement it in the future?

Only with games that are fully compatible with the GBA Wireless adapter, not to confuse with Cable Link connection:

I'm trying to get GBARunner3 to run on an R4 card and it doesn't show up in my settings, only Native > GBARunner2. It works for Mother 3 and Kirby but fails when trying to play Trogdor Reburninated (homebrew).

I've put Gbarunner3.nds in /_nds/TWilightMenu/emulators/.

- GBA bios bios.bin inside \_gba
- Get the configs folder from the repository and copy it inside of the \_gba folder, it should be \_gba\configs
- GBARUNNER3_TEST = 1 text line under the [SRLOADER] section in \_nds\TWiLightMenu\settings.ini

Before entering here would give you a black screen on gbarunner2 on Pokemon fireRed/leafGreen. That's fixed. Thank you, team.

I have GBARunner2 on the 3DS XL and wondering is there a way to quickly scroll through a long list of roms? I can only seem to go through them 1 by 1.

Good doubt... Support will be added for games translated into Spanish, for example Mother 3 has problems with audio. :wub:

It works fine at my side, check if you're using the "Better mixer patch", because that version of the hack needs wram icache turned off.

Your settings file is corrupted, you need to delete it and let TwilightMenu++ make another one, then add the line again.

It works fine at my side, check if you're using the "Better mixer patch", because that version of the hack needs wram icache turned off.

Como se si es el parche mejorado... (Lo que si es que he estado haciendo actualizaciones sucias, me he dado cuenta que TwilightMenu, suele fallar si se hace eso). :wacko:

Y estoy usando GBARunner3.

How do I know if it is the improved patch... (What I have been doing is that I have been doing dirty updates, I have noticed that TwilightMenu usually crashes if that is done).

And I am using GBARunner3
 
Thanks for all the hard work - wondering, is suspend when closing the lid something that is at all likely to make it release ever? Won't burden you with the obvious remarks about how useful it'd be, just wondering if it's something you think is possible, likely, etc

It is planned to be implemented in GBARunner3.
 
Newest compilation (from Github actions #14) Sonic Advance 3 is broken. Graphics are stuttery. Same behaviour on DS with R4 and DSi on SD card.

That's currently expected and a known issue due to the new irq yielding implementation, it may get fixed later, so for now the hicode branch is recommended.

Hey there, recently I've been playing quite a lot of GBA games on my DSi, and while most of them work without issues, there's one specific romhack that refuses to work with it right now for me, I originally posted the details on the Twilight Menu thread, but I'll post it here as well:

I found what seems to be a saving issue on a very specific GBA romhack when running it through GBARunner2.
The hack in question is a fork of Crystal Dust, which is a remake of Pokemon Crystal made in Gen 3 with Pokemon Emerald as base:

The fork specifically adds a bunch of QoL features, and can be found in GitLab:

When trying to run the Crystal Dust Fork through GBARunner2, the game does boot up normally and all, but upon reaching the main game and attempting to save, I get a save error immediately, making the game unable to save at all.
It's important to note, however, that this does not happen with the normal Crystal Dust hack, it seems to be related only to the Fork itself.

I have included BPS patches for both normal Crystal Dust and the Fork for testing, if needed, though I'm not sure if this is the right place to report about this very niche saving error on such an obscure romhack.

Both patches should be applied over a vanilla Pokemon Emerald (USA) ROM, with:
