    I think what I can do about my storage issue is clone my current drive to the new ssd for now.

    Yea you can buy a new ssd and also get a usb external ssd case, put new ssd in external case, use it to clone old to new ssd, then put new ssd in laptop, and you'd still have old ssd to put in external case and use as a external hd for extra storage space.

    And once I have a computer with multiple ssd slots I can transfer the data back to the old one and resize the partition on my new one.
