I recently setup USB Loader GX (r1271) and created an emunand with it. I have been able to successfully run many VC games (NEOGEO, TurboGrafx, Genesis) and a few WiiWare (Contra ReBirth and Cave Story) using "clOS emuNand" mode, and able to Castlevania ReBirth with neek2o (both from USB Loader GX game overrides or directly from the neek system menu). However, I have been unsuccessful in getting Gradius ReBirth from running (either version 0 or version 257). Launching results in a black screen. I have tried clOS emuNand mode and neek mode. I tried all the suggestions made by Cyan in a post from April 2018 regarding getting this game to run. The game apparently needs IOS55, and I believe I have the latest version of it.

I am also having problems getting World of Goo WiiWare to run from my emunand (either clOS or neek modes). Any recommendations? Thank you.

I also tried installing wads LostWinds and Mega Man 9 wads thru USB Loader GX and same issue (black screen after running the game from either clOS emunand or neek).

Yes, but you will need to force some options like force pal60, and we can’t talk about those kinda sites here it is a rule.

I tried to play a ntsc game on my console and it actually worked pretty well. And i didnt do that force pal thing i guess. Is it possible without it?

I tried installing the wad of Gradius ReBirth to my system nand and I was able to play it. Now I am curious if the game will run if I create a fresh emuNand dump and run the emuNand copy (and/or pack the wad from the fresh dump and then add it to my previous emunand).

I'm using a Sandisk Cruzer USB 2.0 stick and it's working without issues (my emunand and Wii wbfs files are playing fine from it). Paired with a 256gb SDXC card for Gamecube ISOs and Homebrew Channel apps.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

yes it will work.
I redumped my system nand to a new emunand and I'm now able to play all WiiWare games I've install to the new emunand. Very happy everything is working now!

They can work, I've used them myself. But if/when issues arise the first problem will most likely turn out to be your flash drive. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't, and sometimes they work for a bit and then just stop working (mostly due to the constant writing to the flash drive which has a limited lifespan).

Around here using a flash drive is a crapshoot and generally not recommended due to the number of issues they cause. If your flash drives does work I'd use it only temporarily until you can get an external HDD setup for it. This will save you much grief.

Good afternoon. This is my first time ever hearing or using GBATemp but I was referred to here regarding a question about making my own AR Codes via Cheat Manager on Dolphin from a discussion board on Gamefaqs (Which I never used until now because this was always on my mind). I'll try to be brief. On Youtube, there's this user named CosmoCourtney who shared a guide video to making your own codes without really using anything for the most part in the least most convoluted fashion possible. It was rather straightforward and I was able to locate certain addresses I was looking for to create AR codes and using a certain program to help me create codes. However, I've came at an unfortunate snag at the end of it and I can't figure out why... I'm using a program called "GCNPCCv1.2" (I hope this is okay to address) Where you would take two addresses from your game by locating what you're searching for, dumping them, and following the instructions in order to create your finalized code (Disclaimer: I do not know anything about hex's and such yet I've somehow managed to find what I was looking for...). My problem was that the moment I inserted a Value to go with the Addresses, (I was looking for HP/Digivolution Bars off of Digimon Rumble Arena 2) it claims that "1.Bin was not found" Yet I made sure to rename them according to what was directed. This is really the only obstacle that's stopping me from finishing up the code I've created. For many years, I've been wanting to learn how to create codes and mess around with my box of old Gamecube games for a long time (Paper Mario TTYD forever) but it always required some kind of device, using the internet publicly or something from a program which I honestly couldn't afford to do, etc. With Cheat Manager, I was able to locate Addresses (Somewhat) and was able to create my own codes that would work but I had to make sure they were fully operable considering the Addresses change each time you start up again. Long story short, can someone please explain to me what I'm doing wrong? Apologies if this is rather long... I was wondering if posting this in the "Emulation" subject would be better but I came across this sticky and was wondering if this is acceptable. Thank you to anyone who took their time out of reading this.

Which particular new external HDD would your recommend purchasing today?

I use Western Digital MyBooks, they come with an AC adapter. You can get the size you think you might need 1TB, 2TB, 3TB, 4TB, 6TB or 8TB. I used 4TB drives for a long time and am currently using an 8TB, but that takes a little extra to set up.

I'd stick to a 4TB or under, it'll hold every Wii game, but not enough to also hold all GameCube games at the same time.

I have a spare 10TB MyBook that I haven't tried yet, but would expect it to work as well. I've also been meaning to see how one of my 4TB Western Digital Passport drives with Y-Cable works, this way it could just sit on top of the Wii, but haven't gotten around to that yet either. I need to move the files off it and then play around to see how it works, maybe this weekend.

Will do. Brought my white one in to work today so I could move the 2TB currently on it to another drive. Will format it afterwards and then try it out tonight to see how it works out.

while that was a kid-friendly endeavor, this new take will adapt the story Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin.
