You don't even need a NNID if you are getting a paid title.

as tubehax uses dns to trick around:got tubehax on the console, but i'm doing this on the pc - maybe disabeling the blocks in the router takes

once you're device did get the information from the dns server it won't ask it again until the "time to life" ttl is over, on mac and windows and linux you could flush the dns cache so it reloads the data, or just restart
ttl can be up to 5minutes or 48 hours
I hope all you guys out there rushing to buy a DS VC game realize that this exploit will need to be specifically ported to different DS VC games, and it's already been confirmed that it won't work with a few of them. What Smea posted to his github is specifically for Kirby Squeak Squad (US). Don't go out and waste your money until a confirmed method of setting this up has been confirmed.
This, is not true, I follow this really closely and nothing has been confirmed yet. The only thing we know is that smealum used some kirby games in his tutorial, that's all. Stop spreading what you don't know. If you post that, it means you are able to post the source of what you are saying, stop going like RedNand people spreading things about linked and unlinked NANDs which are not true.
EDIT: and it could not be the case, here is what the github says:
It exploits a bug is the emulator's rom loader. So it means, the only condition for it to not work is that the emulator's rom loader is not the same on all NDS VC games. And that's the reason why no one can confirm this for now: WE DON'T KNOW.

I'm just reporting what was discussed in the WiiUBru IRC last night. Multiple people tried getting Smealum's ROP to work with Brain Age EUR, and it wasn't working due to certain functions that weren't present. These functions DO appear to be present in Kirby Squeak Squad. I'm not trying to say that Kirby will be the ONLY game that works with this, but it's potentially a waste of money to go out and buy a DS VS game right now because we don't know if this exploit will work with every DS VC game at the moment.
The ROM loader for different VC titles definitely have some differences. i.e. certain titles having the "Close screen" option while others don't.
I'm not trying to spread lies, just trying to save people some money from buying a VC game that might not be compatible.
Feel free to correct me if you have more accurate information.

I had a feeling this would be case so I have been on the fence for buying a DS game. For all I know, another DS game besides Kirby Squeak Squad may work better then people with that game may be left out if the exploit shifts to using that other DS game.
Wait for a proper tutorial before using it

It may be ok to buy a DS game to prepare, with the risk of wasting money on a game that is incompatible with the exploit but rushing though some thrown together guide is just asking for a brick.
