Morning.
I'm having great difficulty in understanding a few things (TBH with all the information available I think it's just a simple case of me confusing myself
)
I have installed the HBC via the TP hack.
Then when I booted up my mac to access the net my WiiConnect24 kicked in and updated my FW to 4.0E
(please refrain from stating the obvious that I am a tool for not switching this off)
Anyway - can I downgrade to 3.2 with ease - or due to already having the HBC installed do I not need to bother?
I have myself a nice shiny external already to go and a stack of iso's ready to drop onto it. Can I just carry on and install the USB Loader to my SD and go from there or am I missing something?
Or if someone could point me in the direction of "an idiots guide" I would be very thankful.
A very confused and slightly embarrassed noob.

If you already installed a cios(cIOS36_rev7 or higher) before upgrading to 4.0 you should be fine with installing the loader. The loader will need cios36_rev10 to work properly.
If you don't have a cios already installed then use this.I can't confirm this works myself but others say it has.
GOOD LUCK.
Requisites:
- this archive:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DMXW9VCC
- WiFi connection (LAN Adapter doesn't work with cIOS rev9-10).
- Homebrew Channel pre-installed.
No cIOS required!
1) Unpack the archive linked above.
2) Do a full backup of your SD card on the PC, and DELETE everything from the card.
3) Copy the apps folder on the SD card.
4) On the Wii, launch the Homebrew Channel and select CMDVDX34, then pick "Downgrade IOS35", wait for it to end and come back to the menu, then exit.
- If it says "Failed to add title, maybe you already ran this?", find IOS35-64-v1040.wad from a disk such as Brawl-Mario Kart-WiiFit, using downgradehelper.bat or "elsewhere" and install it using WMIOS35 or a regular Wad Manager, then exit and continue to follow this guide.
- If it says that "you're a pirate" delete also all your VC/WiiWare pirated channels (with AnyTitle Deleter or WAD Manager), execute shared2clean and try again grog.gif
5) Execute downgradehelper.bat in the "PC" folder of the archive and insert 1, it will download IOS36 from NUS and patch it to cIOSv9, then pack the WAD. (alternatively, you can find and use the cios_fix.wad).
6) Copy the cios wad in the wad folder in the SD card.
7) Delete the apps folder on the SD, rename the "apps2" folder included in the archive to "apps" and copy it to the SD.
8) Launch the Homebrew Channel again, and run WMIOS35.
9) Install ciosv9.wad.
10) Exit again, and run IOSDowngraderv1 from HBC.
11) If you want a System Menu lower than 4.0, use cIOS Downgrader
