I had the same problem.Except mine was for Sonic & The Black Knight.
I installed all the extra IOS's ext and nothing worked.I finally found something that did though.

Try this one.

install the V3 not the V2


It will install as a new channel but it worked for me.Madworld also works fine for me but im on ntsc and only play ntsc games.

how do i gain much more memory space on the wii? cause right now, after moving a few wiiwares to my sd, i still got 2 left on the wii but i have no more space on my sd card[2.6 MBs left], so i have like 800 something blocks left on the system. what is there that i can safely delete besides material for hacks and save data?

It's up to you to decide what you think is worth having on your SD card. You should probably just get a new one anyways. A 2GB costs less than $10 now, so they're highly affordable. The Wii also accepts SDHC now, which means you can go up to 8GBs if you want to (and those aren't all that expensive either).

i know, im going to get one soon. my point though is towards the wii's memory. what things can i safely delete so that i can create more room for save data for the long run?

Gamecube backups use the same cIOS, but also require the patched MIOS. So if you have both installed, you can play wii and GC backups

Finally got around to getting a mod chip (wiikey 2) for my wii, (NTSC-J with f/w 3.2) Anyhow, grabbed Zelda (both original and a backup) in PAL format to do the TH but couldn't get past the intro screen, just leaves me hanging with a black screen. Copied the homebrew installer ISO to a DVD-RW with Imgburn but no joy, tells me there is an error and to reboot. It does play backup games for PAL however, seen one work in it at the place I got the modchip installed, and the wiikey setup DVD works, although I haven't upgraded the software yet as the wii is currently offline.

Anyone got any ideas how I can get around these hurdles and get homebrew successfully installed? Any help appreciated, I'm a bit of a noob and with all the reading I've done about the wii hacks the last month I'm a bit overwhelmed.

I figured out what the deal was. For some reason the PAL version of Madworld doesn't work on an NTSC Wii, so I just quickly downloaded the NTSC version of the game and it loaded perfectly with the 002 fix Gamma Lanucher. Thanks for your help!

Dumb question, but I guess games load faster with USB loader with a USB HDD then a USB pen right?

Generally, I doubt you'd notice a difference. But the pen could load faster, but then again it might not. Depends on what devices you're comparing.

But given that you can load a hell of a lot more games onto a HDD, you know where the real (and more important) advantage lies...

Well yeah, but right now, I can afford a pen, but I can't afford an HDD

Dear all,

I need some help!

I own a Japanese Wii modded with Wiikey 1. I've been out of the scene for perhaps a year or so and I want to start playing my Wii again.

From what I've read so far, looks like these are the things I'll need to do in order to play, especially US Region games.


1) Update my Wii to firmware version 3.2J (Can somebody introduce a few games that has this update?)
2) Update my Wiikey to version 1.9s (I've downloaded the ISO, I know how to handle this)
3) I will need Wii Brick Blocker applied, can somebody explain how do I go about doing this?

Is there anything else I need to do?

Also, my wii is semi-bricked, with duplicate channels and I can't access the system menu. What do I need to do to repair it?

All I want to do is to play the US versions of games such as Super Mario Galaxy, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, and Wario Land: Shake It.

Hey,

I have a pretty 'noob' question I think about the Game channels using IOS222:

I have a PAL Wii.
Running NTSC/JAP (And PAL of course) Games trough USB Loader do work fine.
Now I want to run them trough Game Channels.

All NTSC and JAP Games loading via Game channel seem to give a Green Screen.
Tried on video patch:
PAL 60, NTSC and Default.

PAL Games trough Game channels works fine.

What I possibly could do wrong?

A friend of mine has a NTSC-U Wii with 3.2U in it, I installed the HBC and Backup Launcher in it and everything was running fine. Until I tried to load the MH3 demo in it.. the DVD is fine cause I can run it perfectly on my own 4.0U Wii that's mod-chipped. But on his, the game resets the Wii back to the menu screen. So I figured out that it should be because of the firmware, I tried to install Waninkoko's 4.0 firmware, but I'm getting an error when the shop channel is being downloaded. So.. what could be the problem here, is it really the firmware? Would I have any problems if I just updated it to 4.0 through Nintendo?

I have a 4.0U Wii updated last night from 3.2U using waninkoko's original installer (SoftMii downgrader wasn't working) along with the rest of the SoftMii 2.9.6 package from yesterday (primarily cIOSCORP and preloader .29).

Everything works great (I love the SD auto-copy feature of 4.0) except Guitar Hero World Tour - Not in Disc Channel or Gamma loader and I cannot get USB loader to recognize the disc. Any ideas? Sorry to have asked this a few places, but it's the only game I can't get to work and I had it working previously.
