The fact that Trump is continuing forward makes me more convinced that Biden needs to step down. He’s been another boring do nothing democrat that people are tired of. Dems can’t keep banking on him “not being Trump”

I don't think you've got much to worry about. Just my speculation, but I think they'll keep him running unopposed through the primaries until he's declared the nominee. Then at the convention, he'll regretfully back out citing medical reasons or something, and recommend Michelle Obama. There'll be a very (melo)dramatic shuffle-ufagus in the TV coverage as the delegates pretend they didn't know this was coming all along, and she'll be slid in as the new nominee. Biden keeps his dignity, DNC gets what they want without needing to run their real candidate against the incumbent in the primaries.
I mean, most polls went red but the same elections went blue, mind you.

Let's be realistic here: California is not in play for Trump any more than Texas is in play for Biden. Swing states will decide the election, and Trump just insulted the biggest city in Wisconsin, which also happens to be the city hosting the RNC four days after his sentencing.
Much as I hate Biden's continued capitulation to the genocidal war criminal Netanyahu, it takes a hell of a lot more than that to lose re-election for an incumbent president. Even Trump would've been re-elected if not for COVID and his wholly botched response to it.
If the upcoming election ends democracy and the USA as we know it, it'll be because SCROTUS was responsible for failing to uphold constitutional law. The founding fathers never believed we'd be stupid enough to allow an insurrectionist and convicted felon to run for president.

Democracy as we know it where we support the only democracy in the Middle East unconditionally. Yeah, that sounds like something worth preserving.

What we're preserving is the right to voice dissent altogether. We don't have a Bernie Sanders-type candidate running in this particular election, but if the fascists get their way, that type of candidate will never be allowed to run in any election ever again, and people who support them will be gunned down without a second thought. Things can always get worse, despite what nihilists may try to tell you.

ugh, i just wanna kick out all the politicians in general, and just revote some better ones in by this point. the root is working against 90% of people. especially in the electoral and judicial side, they actively went against public vote in 2016 for trump (electoral college). and roe v. wade!?

People have an observable and reproducible effect on each other, their environment, and other living beings. There's inherent meaning to be found in that without the need to bring faith or deeper philosophy into the mix.
Yeah, Republicans will never even entertain the idea of abolishing the electoral college or enacting ranked choice voting. Roe v Wade would not have been overturned if Hillary Clinton had been elected and appointed three SCOTUS justices, either. Two, possibly three conservative justices are set to die or retire during the next presidential term. I don't believe the US or even the species as a whole can survive another fifty years of blatant corruption on the level we're seeing from them currently.
