Every woman that's put a presidency bid in the ring has been someone absolutely abysmal, even Hillary. I'd personally like to see Kamala Harris as the first woman president. She'd fight tooth and nail to get things done.

As someone who was given a bit of information on the inner workings of the Democratic party, an FYI that these reports of "Democrats urging Biden to step down" are bullshit. I commented on this in another thread. There isn't any actual push among people who matter within the party. The DNC are actually mostly satisfied and happy with Biden, and he has even gained support from the more socialist leaning groups such as Bernie Sanders and his crowd. This is just a bunch of media agitation to try and stir up drama where it doesn't actually exist.

It makes absolutely no sense for Democratic party officials to try to push Biden to step down. They don't have any other viable candidates to replace him with, and Biden has the incumbency advantage. He's the only real chance Democrats have to win in 2024. And they DO in fact think he currently has a very high chance of doing so.

With polls showing a strong lead for Trump in several swing states, some within the democratic party are now calling for Biden to stand down in 2024 and allow other contenders to make their case for president

Andrew Yang who attempted to cinch the 2020 nomination says Biden risks going down in history as the person who allowed a second Trump presidency

Polling for alternative nominees is not widely done, but polls show Kamala and Sanders trailing behind Trump as well - with closer races between potential candidates such as Pete Buttigieg and Elizabeth Warren

"Unnamed democrat" led Trump by 8 points in polling, underscoring Biden's potential electability issues

Andrew Yang is not actually a Democrat. He briefly and reluctantly ran as one in order to gain attention on the 2020 stage, but he never had any left wing positions apart from UBI. And he hasn't even been very consistent on that issue either. His other policy positions fall more on either the libertarian spectrum or (more often) he just doesn't have any knowledge or positions on anything at all. He falls apart and makes a complete fool of himself when he has to talk about anything else. He's attempting (yet failing) to become another Ross Perot political agitator out for attention.

Buttigieg and Warren lost the popular votes in their own primaries/caucuses by a significant margin, despite Buttigieg trying to claim victory (by his own statement, whoever wins the popular vote in an election is the winner). Warren in fact came in third place in her state behind both Biden and Sanders. Both Buttigieg and Warren would be torn apart by Trump, something we've already had a sneak preview of especially with Warren. Her little Native American stunt for instance even damaged her support from her own base.

Every woman that's put a presidency bid in the ring has been someone absolutely abysmal, even Hillary. I'd personally like to see Kamala Harris as the first woman president. She'd fight tooth and nail to get things done.
Harris is a weak and sleazy politician, to the point where even the DNC don't have have any faith in her (and not because they hate her like they do with Sanders, AoC and the like). She doesn't have quite as much baggage as Hillary, but she also has far less charisma and would be torn apart on the debate stage by Trump (or any other GOPer for that matter). There's a reason why she didn't even make it very far in the Democratic debates. As sad as it is to say, she was only chosen as an attempt to help fill in some of the demographics that Biden was struggling with (something that probably didn't even move the needle all that much). A common tactic since forever. Inverse of Hillary picking a conservative leaning white man as her VP in an attempt to court Republicans.

Honestly, might not be the worst idea. People seem to be blaming Biden for what Trump started as well as everything that is wrong with the world right now (no fault of his) so his chances of getting reelected seem slim and the worst thing that could happen would be for Trump to get elected again.

Hopefully, we won't have to worry about any of that because Trump will be in prison.

Even IF Trump ends up being convicted for crimes and sentenced to prison time (which is definitely not a sure thing), it almost certainly won't happen before the election. They're not moving nearly fast enough. These cases will likely drag on well past 2024. The first trial is scheduled to begin March next year, with another in May. And there are others still that have no date set. These are also the kinds of cases that are likely to take an extremely long time.

If Trump were to take back the presidency (which I will reiterate is not nearly as likely as the media and public polling claims), he can and will pardon himself for the federal cases (of which I believe there are currently two). He cannot pardon himself from state cases however, and Georgia is one of the few states where even the Governor doesn't have pardon powers (though some GOP state legislators are attempting to amend this law). It's also a state where Trump faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted and given the max sentence. However, even without state-side pardon power, I wouldn't put it past him to find a way to get what he wants.

Concerns about the age of an 81 year old who still bikes and his coherent and despite tripping a couple times didn't break anything

No concerns about the age of a 78 years old guy with 91 indictments, is a fat unhealthy bastard who regularly gets stuff mixed up in speeches and has been behaving increasingly like a madman

I can say that of literally any candidate risks that, even on the republican side.

Neither are candidates, so that's pretty obvious.

I really don't get that 'he's too old' thing, especially when compared to the opposition. If that's the best criticism, then there's really nothing to complain about.

Personally, i would've liked him to be a lot more vocal on the Roe vs Wade shenanigans, but to an outsider that would really make țhe us look weak.
... But speaking of that: ever since that decision, democrats have won all local elections. Doesn't that say more than what some 'random' poll says about Trump's popularity?

I have a feeling you have no idea what I was saying if that's what you got out of it.

(To explain, since apparently you need an explanation: No, disagreeing with a non-white person isn't inherently racist)
