It turns out that "Aside from the enormous downsides, it's objectively the best option" is an argument that can be applied equally to any of the options. Also you forgot to factor in here that it's much more expensive even at the best of times.Aside from the shortages and overpricing going on now, it's objectively the best gaming platform
You forget the best pro about being a PC gamer: if you own a gaming PC you instantly gain the power to be an insufferable twat!It turns out that "Aside from the enormous downsides, it's objectively the best option" is an argument that can be applied equally to any of the options. More expensive up front, cheaper in the long-term. Consoles are the opposite, or at least meant to be.It turns out that "Aside from the enormous downsides, it's objectively the best option" is an argument that can be applied equally to any of the options. Pot calling the kettle black. You're clearly guilty of overlooking all the benefits to PC gaming that aren't specs or graphics-related.There are plenty of benefits to console gaming, but it's the kind of stuff that's just completely overlooked in the race to have the best specs humanly possible.
Not really, so long as you have a comfy chair that reclines. It's a moot point anyway though, ever since in-home streaming options became popularized. Also FWIW sitting at a desk is objectively the worst way to play video games.
PC gamers can also own a Switch, believe it or not. Admittedly though it is near impossible to get everybody's schedules to line up for couch co-op these days, the N64/Gamecube eras were the height of that for me. The last part was uncalled for, don't be a douche.Couch co-op is a big one for me, I value being able to pass controllers around and play something on my Switch with pals. I guess that's moot for PC gamers, though, they don't have friends.
Best way is thisAlso FWIW sitting at a desk is objectively the worst way to play video games.
PC Master Race all the wayWhile I wouldn't count PC as a console I have to admit that the master race can be quite annoying
PC mustard race. We have dijon and spicy brown, the best kinds.PC Master Race all the way
It was always like that, kids are the meanest people everI hate how being a fan of something has a toxic element these days. We had console wars in the 1980s and 90s but it was never as mean-spirited as it is now.
Fanboy rant videos predate the internetIt was always like that, kids are the meanest people ever
Can I get the spicy brown in a ceramic jar with a cork lid? If not, count me outPC mustard race. We have dijon and spicy brown, the best kinds.
I'm aware there are benefits, I just don't think they're anywhere near enough to make PC gaming the 'objectively better' option. A great option for the right type of gamer, sure, but definitely not for everyone, and I think a lot of the 'PC master race' crowd is too busy airing on their moral superiority junk to get that.Xzi said:Pot calling the kettle black. With the constant parts upgrades I've seen many PC gamers need over time I'm not entirely sure how true that is, especially with how expensive PC parts seem to be. Console manufacturers take a loss in favor of software sales, but physical PS/Xbox software drop in value pretty fast. Game Pass is a really solid option too, though I am aware it's also on PC, so it's hardly a point against that.Xzi said:More expensive up front, cheaper in the long-term. Ah, because we all know how good of an option streaming games is.Xzi said:It's a moot point anyway though, ever since in-home streaming options became popularized.
Damn, sounds to me like you're a traitor to the PC master race. Calling the cops, they're revoking your Windows key as we speak.Xzi said:PC gamers can also own a Switch, believe it or not.
I'm sorry, do I need sarcasm indicators on every lighthearted quip I make in a forum post? I'm trying to be an internet comedian, not an asshole. Shit, I better get that '/s' ready on my clipboard.Xzi said:The last part was uncalled for, don't be a douche.

I'm a big fan of "trying to see the Game Boy screen under street lights in the back seat of a car" personally.Nah, this is even better
We do think PC's are superior. Thats why we even get a PC because we want the best. And we are smug about having the best these are the facts.I'm aware there are benefits, I just don't think they're anywhere near enough to make PC gaming the 'objectively better' option.
