Have you ever gotten hyped over an announcement, made a prediction, and been disappointed with the results? This is the thread for you.

Prediction: "Mighty No. 9 will do what Capcom won't do for Mega Man!"
Reality: Mighty No. 9 bombs. Mega Man 11 releases to positive reviews.

Prediction: "I hope Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series revives interest in the Klonoa franchise!"
Reality: Like the Wii remake before it, Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series comes and goes.

Prediction: "Duke Nukem Forever has been in development for over 10 years. It's going to be the next Half-Life 2!"
Reality: Duke Nukem Forever does not become the next big influential FPS.

Post your predictions and results.

Prediction: Millennia : looks like a cool civ clone
Reality: can't expand eventually, 500 turn limit, no customization, designed for quick MP games, dumbed down ai. it's GARBAGE

Prediction 1: Switch Pro launches in 2022
Prediction 2: Switch Pro launches in 2023
Prediction 3: Switch successor (not called Pro anymore) launches in 2024
Reality: It's not even announced yet.

On a more serious note, though:
Prediction: Skulls and Bones is an AAAA game.
Reality: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA! :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

That was no one's prediction. Everyone in the right mind knows that Pokémon is a cash grab.
Pokémon Go caused a zombie apocalypse in 2016-17 where a lot of people started playing it.

Prediction: Skulls and Bones is an AAAA game.
Reality: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA! :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:
It was delayed many times, shame it couldn't beat the world record for the amount of delays Duke Nukem Forever had to face.

Oh, yes, before 2016-17 it was a small indie game. Backed by a small indie company.
Indeed.

Ironically, this is the explanation/excuse for why Scarlet/Violet run so poorly on the Switch: Gamefreak is a "small" company that "can't" develop games at such a rapid release schedule.

:rolleyes:
