Deep 3D: Submarine Odyssey by Fishlabs is now running on Nintendo Switch.

This is an unofficial port based on the Android version. The port uses the original Android game libraries with a compatibility layer for Nintendo Switch and supports the original game content.

Installation

  1. Download the latest release from GitHub.
  2. Download the original Android APK from the TheWWWorm/abyssal repository.
  3. Extract the APK using 7-Zip or WinRAR.
  4. Copy libgodot_android.so and libc++_shared.so from lib/arm64-v8a/ to:
    /switch/abyssal_nx/
  5. Copy the assets folder to:
    /switch/abyssal_nx/assets/
  6. Launch abyssal_nx.nro.
  7. In the game's Import Content file picker, select the original .jar file of Deep 3D. Make sure you select the JAR file itself, not the APK or another archive.

How it works

The port runs the original Android game through a modified Godot/Switch compatibility layer. Game assets are loaded from the SD card and an indexed asset pack is automatically generated on the first launch for faster loading.

Current controller mapping is adapted to the Nintendo Switch controls.
