When you add more characters (like the mii slots) is there any way to get rid of the lines on the side of the CSS screen?

Example: (at beginning of video)

i've created a file who remove the lines but it removes at the same time the background of the characters icons (we see the background on the entire screen)
if you want, the img-00000 and img-00002 aren't required but it changes the background by a purple
it's to add into data>ui>lumen>chara>

I have a suggestion. It appears that the mii slot, entry59 interferes with Giga bowser who is also entry number 59. Could you change Giga bowser's default slot? Also the Crazy hand id shows up as Master and Crazy, not crazy hands costume slot.

I'm kind of a noob, so by "Cosmetic ID" does it mean what the character looks like? So if I have Mario's Cos. ID set to Luigi he'll look like Luigi?

Hey, So I've been using this tool for quite some time (a few days, considering how long it's been out) and I've loved it so far. But recently, I tried getting TS4M's InjectPack to work, which i did successfully by adding Python to the PATH environment variable, but in that process, I seemed to break this tool...Which is really useful for me. When double clicking the .pyw file, It just creates the loading circle next to my mouse for .5~ seconds, and then vanishes and nothing happens. Any idea why this would happen?

That affects ui elements only, but yes.

weird, considering smb's inject pack also uses 2.7, I would try opening command prompt in the folder of the pyw and running it in command prompt then see what error it gives you.

Difficult question to ask without sounding shady. If I mod the character select screen such that the DLC characters can be rearranged to other positions, does that trip any online ban filters? I know most things don't, I know most things are clientside, but changing stuff involving the DLC characters makes me nervous, especially with what I'm reading here.

The character select screen is tripping my OCD issues something fierce, but it sounds like it'd be more trouble than it may be worth.

Do so at your own risk but there are no such bans reported and even using miis on FG has not had any bans reported.

Thanks for the quick reply. I think I'm probably just going to leave it alone anyway.

So, editing ui_character_db.bin makes my game get stuck on the CSS loading screen (the music's still playing, logo thing still spinning etc. but it just loads forever and all I can do is shut off the console) :(

Any ideas? I have a PAL copy and I did what Segtendo said on page 2.

What files did you copy over if you made made the DLC not DLC so you could move it?

data(eu_en)/ui/replace/append and threw everything from there into data(eu_en)/ui/replace

Probably not how it should be, but whatever. I tried it without editing the DLC characters (only added an extra costume slot for Mario - pretty sure every required file is there) with Parameters.exe and the result is the exact same. Running out of ideas :(

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

i think only the red mario kart edition phat was v5

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
