dose it support zipped roms?

Yup, every file I have on it is zipped!

Thank you for the update. Thank goodness Xmarks, or whatever they're called, gave me a refund. I'm going to wait until Pokemon games are hardware supported, and a new system design is implemented. If maxzhou88 wants to get this system on Deal Xtreme, he needs to do what other clones wont. :)

Glad you got sorted!

So I finally started playing Pokemon Sapphire. I deleted the save I had and started again (no battery warning or anything like that). After a half an hour of playing, I went back to check the clock, and it was exactly where I set it (No movement at all). I'll play some more, but I'm guessing it'll still be at 6 minutes past 2 where I set it initially!

I think the problem with that though has more to do with the actual rom not having the real 'rtc' on it, it runs specific on the cart itself. The only possible way I can imagine this working is if a RTC was added onto the K-Kart, but even then there are work arounds like rom patches and so forth so I doubt it is worth the effort. It'd be like adding the sun sensors onto the kart just so Boktai will run like it does on the proper cart.

My thoughts exactly. Its the game that has rtc. The sp doesn't even have a menu, nevermind an internal clock!

Rom patching would be perfect. I don't think theres a patch for Emerald though!

Isn't there? I guess I haven't looked. I only patched mine with the 386 patch but didn't care too much about the clock at the time :P

I just searched and you are right, Ruby and Sapphire are the only 2 from that gen that have patches for the clock. Apparently Emerald didn't work the same way or something o_o

You guys are stating the obvious.....think about it?! The game is hardware that contains software. Pokemon games need certain hardware. RockinReject, you were right when you said the K-cart would need the RTC added to it. This late in the GBA cycle there should be a RTC! If you don't care that's good for you (no sarcasm). I just wish I didn't care, you know what I mean?! A product like this that is trying to do what others can't should have full support for Nintendo/Game Freaks cash cow, Pokemon. I am willing to bet that Boktai hasn't put up the numbers Pokemon has.

I just ordered one of those other cheap sp clones off of dealextreme. On the list of features they mention, Built-in "clock" system to support seamless game clock. If that's true I would think this K-Team edition could implement a feature such as this so they can continue to advertise 100% game compatibility.

Please give a report, to let me/us know, if Pokemon Emerlad and others have working clock support on the new clone you ordered? Also, maxzhou88 are you planning on adding RTC (Real Time Clock) to future edition of your K1 Player? If no, why not? Why wasn't RTC added in this first edition? Was it too expensive or some other reason? I'd love to hear from both of you. Thanks. :D

Yeah sorry for stating the obvious :P Just making a point of it - because to me, it seems like adding built in RTC is like adding a built in motion sensor or a rumble pack for the one or two games that make use of those sorta things... As it stands - Its just Emerald that can't be 'fully' played without built in RTC. Whether that should go against compatibility - I dunno, cause it still runs the game as a gameboy is meant to.

I guess you're right about it being this late in the cycle, So Maybe it should include it. The biggest seller for me was that It was as close to being an REAL SP as possible. (The cart was a big bonus obviously) But if the k-cart was to be changed in anyway, I would definitely opt for the RTC to be added to it.

Yeah, let us know how you get on with it :) I was looking at those as well! they should be very similar to the K-Teams solution anyway.

Check the official K-team thread for info on this. The rtc is coming in a new model hopefully to be released in a month or 2. The model has a Dingoo like shape.

If we can keep all the K solution talk in the official thread it makes it a lot easier for both K-team and Maxzhou to read and reply.

Hi to all,
The owners of the device, can you check the following thing.
First, go to sleep mode, after a return to the game.
Will the sound level too high?
With my device, after returning from sleep mode the sound becomes hoarse.

Nope, it doesn't sound like it? :/ I'll try listen a few more times to a few more games though.

I apologise for stating the obvious, I guess there wasn't any way I could think of to say it. But I know what you mean. I was reading a new F.A.Q that was posted here and apparently the original design implimented the RTC, but Maxzhou decided not to use it on his release. The next design he will do (Concepts make it look like a dingoo) apparenly will support the RTC.. so maybe there is hope. A shame it won't resemble the SP though.

To make it more clear:
1. for current SP clone shape, the RTC function is buggy so it was dropped due to limited resource and time.
2. For new model coming out in the very near future, the RTC function will get back. The new model will also include BOTH TV out and Stereo audio with MiniUSB charging connector.

I can't wait to see the upcoming new model. I prefer the design of the orginal GBA and Micro over the SP and the RTC is a welcome addition.

I know this is probably just a dream but is it possible that further down the line that tilt and rumble could be added? I would love to play older GBC games like Pokemon Pinball, Perfect Dark and Kirby's Tilt'n'Tumble as well as GBA games like Drill Dozer, Yoshi's Universal Gravitation and Warioware Twisted the way they were meant to be played. :)

Again, we dont have these special game cartridges on hand so we don't exactly know if these cartridges (with G-Sensor, Solar, vibrator....etc) work. We can only wait for users to report. We will try to to collect all lthese carts in the furture and continue the improvement. Hopefully we will find them on ebay or somewhere.

As for the dumped ROMs, they will need a device with these sensors. This is much more difficult than supporting the cartridge. I think there will be no manufacturers willing to add these sensors to the machine. That costs and cost matters. :-(

Is the new model going to be an SP shape as well?

GBA games like Drill Dozer, Yoshi's Universal Gravitation and Warioware Twisted the way they were meant to be played. :)

I bought this games, and I think that real catridge is only way to play this games "the way they were meant to be played", .... aldough I didn't try them yet on K1 unit...(I will try them and report here)

Adding RTC (for one-two games) and tilt for 2 games is something what will make device more expensive to produce and sell (and those features is needed for max 4 games) ....
I don't know, if I were manufacter of device, I'd rather add in specs that for those games is needed real catridge (or pached ROM so game can be used without thoose features), .... maybe provide patches for that ROMs in download folder for K1. (paches are not illegal ?!?)

I'd rather provide battery for saving DRAM/SRAM, so when I shutdown unit in middle of game, and later when I power-up unit that save file is copyed from memory to SD card (like on EZ-Flash IV), .... and that feature is usefull for 99 % games ....

...I noticed that when I use ziped files, that games that are 32 MB cannot be uncompressed (I get something like this: "There is not enough memory, press B to continue"), so games that are 32 MB can be used only if uncompressed (.gba format)... smaller games works fine, ... so far I did not find any game that is not working, or is working bad...

Battery is working around 5 hours, and I get red light depending on game I started, .... also battery indicator in main menu sometimes show full battery, few minutes later - empty, .... few minutes later half, .etc... so this is not reliable, also red light is freaking light show, ... also not reliable, .... but I get unit working for 5-6 hours beafore it shutdown itself.....
