so i came across the latest dash update that matches my console. from what i gather the OSU1 is just the Operating System Update for Xbox. is the hash matches can i use this to upgrade HDD or is the osu1 specially collected data that is required?
    thanX in advance
(the DL says4hrs so i figure i would ask and probably save some data lol)

is your USB drive NTFS formatted?
the file: $SystemUpdate needs to be on root of the drive, and there might absolute be nothing else on the usb drive, not even a hidden file, wich could be your problem.

Hi, yes the usb drive is formatted in NTFS, I done a low level format to remove everything and got the latest osu1 too...

I been reading and it might be stuck in the xbox insider program.

I have contacted the previous owner to remove and if I do a reset I assume it will push out the update and work.

read some xbox one s owners did have problems with offline update, but got it working with online update and reset. don't know if that kills future plans though, i don't own a xbox never had one.

Tried to replace original HDD with SSD SanDisk SDSSDA--T100

Tried copying disk (b - standard and f - auto size option) and just preparing disk + OSU1 (downloaded latest one from Microsoft) and in both cases I get E102, E106 and errors.
With OSU1 E101 at 10% of OS installation.

I came back to original HDD, configured account (data partition wasn't touched so I get all my games back) and console is working just fine.

    Any thought?
I'm thinking of removing console form Insider Program and then to try.

So has the 2tb limit been resolved? Can you go over 2tb and still keep it after normal updates or does it revert back to 2tb? Can’t seem to find any support anywhere. thanx in advance

This may help people who are having this particular issue:

I was cloning a working stock internal HDD over to a new SSD to put internally. I used the script v9 and chose option B in the GUI. It cloned the drive partitions successfully. It showed no errors, put the SSD in the xbox, it would NOT boot. Gave the error recovery screen. Put the original HDD back in, and booted up fine.

Put the SSD in the PC again, and noticed all the partitions show "D" in the front (i.e. "DSystem Update", etc etc). Thought maybe the script did not finish. Ran the whole script again, erased SSD, cloned using option B in the GUI. All the way through, noticed the partitions had D in the front again.

This time I ejected the HDD and renamed the partitions on the SSD to remove the D in the front, so they all match the original HDD partitions.

Put SSD in xbox and it booted up perfectly.
What this means is that the script v9 did not follow the step to rename the newly created partitions.

If you see the D in the front of your partitions after everything is completed, eject your source drive, rename the partitions to remove the letter D, and it should work fine after that.

Hello. Were you able to solve the problem? I have exactly the same error after replacing the hard drive. Update from flash drive, on the second step 100% loads on and off, then turns on and shows the error e100

Cloned it and if you watched the video you see that you run the script one more time to fix the partition names. I have ran a app from internal and games from internal and seems to be fine. Now I have a backup drive if it ever fails.
    thanx @tai1976 for tutorial
    And @bawzy foe the insight

    Hello,

I have upgraded my XBox One S several weeks ago from original Seagate 500GB to 1TB also Seagate.
I have used script v9 as follows:
    - 1st i have connected original 500 GB and applied option D - backup
-2nd after option D completed safely removed the HDD and connected new 1TB HDD and applied script option B, script completed the HDD 1TB building without errors
-3rd i have then run again the script and choosed script option E - restore. Script completed without errors and after that i have safley removed the new 1TB HDD, mount it to XBox and everything was working perfectly, all games and saves were there, i also installed new games, and everything worked without errors.
After 2 weeks of playing, i noticed last night after i ended playing turned off the xbox, i noticed after few hours that xbox turned on, i checked why and saw that he is displaying the following error: System Error: E100 00000706 80070002.
Why is this happening now after 2 weeks? what should i do?
The xbox tried to update himself and run into this error due to incomplete update?

Thank you and hope that someone have a fix.

@barelynotlegal i already tried the all the options from the support link you post, nothing works... i suspect that HDD is the problem probably faulty GUID, in the next days i will try to build a new xbox HDD from the beginning, using the script, but 1st i will try an HDD upgrade to 1TB using OSU1 and then i wil post if it works.

    LE:
So, i found what causing the problem with my Error: E100 00000706 80070002 - the shitty Seagate Mobile HDD 1TB got faulty after 2 weeks of working perfectly after upgrade/replace the original 500GB HDD.
    How i debug the error:
I had another HDD, model HGST 500 GB, i have deleted all volumes of the HDD (didn't format it or create any volume), and inserted it into the Xbox, added $SystemUpdate from last OSU1 from xbox support website on a NTFS formatted 8GB flash drive, insert it to USB, turned ON normally way the Xbox and instantly received Error: E100 0000070D 80070003, on this part i have selected Troubleshoot via controller and the Offline Update, and the update went 100% without errors and xbox is working now.
So after a upgrade/replace with a bigger/smaller HDD/SSD the xbox is working normally after the upgrade(for few days or weeks but then get error E100 00000706 80070002) or not working at all after upgrade procedure and run into error E100 00000706 80070002 then it may be most probably HDD/SSD problem/fault, you have to replace it.
