Long story short, my touchscreen got subjected to a shock that I'm surprised didn't break the touchscreen. However, it did break something. The touchscreen now sort of moves around. Not by much, probably no more than 3mm, but it does move whenever I tap on it. Whatever was properly holding it firmly into place is now sort of broken. How can I fix it?

I was indeed considering of glueing the screen to the case which would solve my problem. However, as I looked online at a DS Lite disassembly tutorial I noticed the screen is meant to be SEPARATE from the case, not joined together with it. That would also make it impossible to replace the screen plastic without replacing the whole case afterwards. Furthermore, when I opened my NDSL I found that there is no broken support frame or anything that could explain why the screen is moving like that. The screen seems to rest directly on the circuit board and seems to have been designed that way. In other words, I found nothing wrong, so then WHY is that darn screen moving?

That plastic cover over the touchscreen, I see it's stuck directly onto the touchscreen.

1. If I separate them, can I join them back?
2. Is it safe to glue the cover onto the edge of the case?

Maybe then it'll stop moving?
(sorry for double post, but no other way)

If case and touchscreen must be seperated, maybe you should make some kind of retangular frame between case and screen. It should work similar to "gasket". And then you should glue it together. Im not sure what glue you should use, but I think paper glue isn't an option. So this "gasket" thingy maybe can help by seperating screen from case.
