Currently working way harder on a programming project than I have to
Afraid that has to be *furiously typing* in my mind.
Yay, I made my first review on here
Looks pretry good!! Always awesome to see user review content
@Chary Happy you think so, had some fun writing the review
Happy birthday to you
I don't think I would want any other theme for now on
Remember when we thought the switch was going to use the "power of the cloud" lmao
Fortnite has so much potential right now. If they add some new game modes like a tdm or conquest, the game could blow up again
Now I know custom gamemodes are a thing but they should make it official and market it
People like content? What a shocker.
Apex on the switch is actually really fun when you're going against other switch players. Prolly be the one of the best multi experiences
Got an old Wii. Worth it to convert it into a retro machine or just leave that to my pc?
Chop it down and customize it so it'll fit in a 5.25" bay.
@DinohScene That'd be dope but I have little experience taking things apart.
Well.. you don't have to customize it to much, quickly put a DVD drive on it, pretty much same dimensions.
Still, it would be sweet yep!
Kinda ironic that a speedrunner (Dream) used an exploit in the YT algorithm to gain popularity
People say Call of Duty is repetitive but still buy the same Pokemon Re-hash every few years
If I ever have kids, they will be grateful to know I have an endless supply of videogames thanks to the Epic Game Store lol
If I am ever stupid enough to have kids and stick around they will learn the dark arts of piracy before they can walk.
The Series S looks like its gonna be a 720p to 1080p console despite the 4k next gen marketing
I finished an entire game on Stadia (Doom 2016) and I had a great experience. I actually want to buy more games on the platform
I thought I was going to have a bad experience with input lag for a fast paced game like Doom but I was pleasantly surprise how nice it feels to play. Playing on controller feels like playing a console game. Playing on pc, you can feel some input lag but it is not enough to hugely affect your aim and it is very consistent compared to Geforce Now
Basic computer knowledge should be something taught at schools. I'm talking navigating an OS, managing files, installing software, security
Teaching basic computer usage… Hahaha. Here in Germany there are a lot of teachers that aren't able to use a computer properly themselves. Using a computer (=smartphone) is more or less equivalent to using WhatsApp for them.
I agree: There should be done A LOT more at school.
About programming: Getting to an advanced level, solving complex problems and developing full-blown applications or putting non-trivial algorithms into C code goes beyond what an average teenager should have to learn.
Using BASIC or similar to get a feeling for simple use of variables IF-statements and loops could be easily done though.
That's what I meant, honestly - simple programs, meant to exercise the students' creativity, like those old BASIC programs in gaming magazines used to. Here's a small sample game; copy it down into the computer, and try to tweak the SFX if you can, or change the colours, or add onto it in some way.
Is anyone else spoiled by good graphics? Like the gameplay is good, but it somehow seems like it would be better if it looked nicer
Usually depends whether the graphics are failing to look fancy or succeeding at being simple
@Seriel This is exactly how I feel. The game's presentation needs to look intentional. Simple graphics are better than a game failing to look realistic
Playing Doom 2016 for the first time on Stadia and its hella fun. Pretty good steal for like $6
Prediction: in the next 5-10 years, old movies are gonna be fully remastered and rereleased into theaters
I know that rereleases of movies are already a thing but I think with the advancements of upscaling technology and ai, there is an opportunity to capitalize on it. I’m talking Demon Souls Ps5 kind of remastering btw
Sadly it will probably be with all the good bits censored lest it offend someone's sensibilities, and possibly CGIed to look like it is in China so they can sell it there.
Bought fake $14 chinese airpods and they actually don't sound bad.
I have Airpods and Airpods Pros for reference btw
theyre usually not completely bad sound, just generic audio devices from the depths of china with a custom shell. i genuinely recommend products like these to people on incredibly tight budgets
@Seriel Definitely. Since they copy the functionality of pairing on Airpods as well, they are 100 times better than the cheap BT earbuds they sell at gas stations for the same or higher price. The only downside is quality control and the shipping times which can take months
Guys, if you are looking to get a PS5, Playstation Direct will have stock tomorrow
I was able to get an order today using a glitch to skip the queue. Queue doesn't seem to work anyways, says an hour wait but never gets in
...Maybe wait until December? Actually no - Christmas rush...January, hopefully, if not February.
Which is still pretty bad. Still, if you can, waiting for this "new release" craze and scalping to die down is a good choice.
Yeah, but for the people that want one for Christmas, getting one at black Friday could be one of the last opportunities
Are we surprised the ps5 doesn't have a browser? Hacking is the only reason why they would delay it
The Switch also lacks a browser - not that console browsers are ever all that good, though.
