3DS Collection Thread

I've been in the DS and 3DS Collection scene ever since they announced the closure of the E Shop

I'm more so curious about what everyone else's preferred DS choices are and what their collection is like

I have a 3ds XL
2 New 2DSXL
2 New 3DSXL

2 Ds Lites
2 DSi
2DSI Xls

Preferably I like the New 3DSXl. Meant for bigger hands and run fast as hell. I bought a Regular 3DSXL recently and the load times were noticeably slower than the new models

I don't have much of a console collection, just my black OG 3DS and my regular-sized New 3DS, which is my main machine and hacked for all the goodness that comes with that.

The bulk of my collection is in cartridges, and I've got some pretty rare/obscure stuff that I'm happy to have landed, especially looking at prices these days.

3ds, 2ds, 3ds xl, 2ds xl, n3ds and a n3ds xl.
My DS fam, from worst to best:
Phat, lite, dsi, dsi xl

I think I paid the most for the n3ds, (like €75 in 2020), I don't think I can get one for less then €200 around here nowadays.

New 3ds XL is the best in the 3ds family by far

DS family definitely is a tie between the lite and the DSI XL

I understand if it's like a childhood 3ds but I seriously don't think people would pay 300 bucks for a 3ds thats been bitten, cracked, broken buttons, etc.

That's why in my opinion Japanese sellers and consoles tend to be a better option for ds collecting

Cheaper prices and better service for a higher quality product

I only own two. An O3DS XL which I got before the pandemic so it was fairly cheap and a New 3DS which I got at a cosplay con some years later because the price was fairly honest. You must be insane and out of your mind to go after a 3DS with its current prices nowadays, considering its main library is not even that good to begin with and It's basically an emulation/homebrew device.

It ain't just me but there's an entire community that's dedicated to 3ds collecting/accessorizing
If you look in the right places it can be cheap, its the truly insane the people pay like 500 for the zelda edition or pokemon editions

Definitely a good price

I always try to buy from japanese sellers just because they've been nicer, faster shipping, better prices, and their consoles have more fun editions like the Monster hunter or Smash editions
Western Sellers can't compete and usually try to overprice their 3ds' that have been put in a woodchipper
