The Last Guardian has gone gold

After almost a decade in development hell and several delays, The Last Guardian has finally gone gold.

The news was announced by Sony's Shuhei Yoshida via a tweet last evening:

This should get it ready in time for its expected December release. Are you excited to finally be able to play alongside your chicken-dog (or dog-chicken)?

Ten years of development, it if weren't Sony's team then the developer would have been fired long time ago for not producing anything.

I'm waiting for that game and will probably buy it at launch day.
I liked ICO, I found Shadow of colosus empty and boring, I hope this one will have more actions.

Well yeah, I get that there was 10 years of it, but what all did they do to drag it out so long? Did things have to be re-written? Game engines switched?

Looking forward to the game. I almost feel obligated to buy it at this point but would have done so anyway.

I expect it to be good or possibly even great but there's no way it lives up to the hype.

I've wanted to play this for the longest time, and I will play it eventually, but for now all my hype has slowly died and I will await the inevitable disappointing reviews before deciding when to purchase it.
Fingers crossed it's not a 3 hour escort mission :(

Duke Nukem Forever :tpi:
Duke Nukem Forever isn't a good example of a game in development for a long time because rumor is the devs at Gearbox threw out a lot of the development materials from all of the other years of development and rewrote the most of the game in a year. It makes sense mostly because when Gearbox obtained DNF it was already finished and only needed polishing, the multiplayer componet and a console port yet they kept working on for that entire lost year.

Looks dull and boring, like most ps4 exclusives.

Might get it eventually at bargain bin price 1 or 2 years from now if sony doesn't add it on ps+ before.
