From everything I've seen, goldleaf/tinfoil run off the keys embedded in the system and provided the game doesn't require the new master key, which is installed by updating. This is first I've heard of adding the newer keys into the keyfile and telling it to ignore firmware version, and I've seen alot of dev stuff in this scene.

Well if you read the actual post, you would see that is not exactly what was said. What was being discussed was that another user was rebuilding an XCI or something and needed the correct keys, but that using Tinfoil with the option to ignore firmware version will allow you to play games with newer FW requirements on older firmware. The person you are replying to just jumped into the middle of another conversation and only quoted a small piece of it, but the gist of the paragraph was that using a keyfile and Tinfoils "ignore" option you can go about your business (for the most part) without being on the most current firmware.

But I can see that for whatever reason you are bent because they apparently DGAF about your FAQ or whatever. Here's a clue, instead of being passive aggressive about it, why not just give meaningful help?
For instance, a link to your precious FAQ?

Yeah you can convert it all you like, doesn't matter if you install with ignore firmware requirements if it needs a higher master key.

I did give, which would have solved alot of issues, it's pinned, if people even bothered searching they would see this and come here and consult it. NEXT

Does anyone know whether the latest system update is able to be Homebrew-ed yet?

7.0.1 with Atmosphere 0.8.4 if you have a fusee-gelee exploitable console

otherwise 6.0.0 for ipatched consoles (update is still been pushed)

Yes. My console is able to be hacked. I homebrew-ed it before this latest system update even came out. Could you provide a link to everything I need for it?

Honestly, firmware 6.2 is currently most stable. If you want to update it to 7.0.1 and use Atmosphere/kosmos you will need

    • ChoidujourNX
    • Firmware files (Can't share them here)
    • The latest kosmos or atmosphere files from HERE or HERE respectively
The process would be CFW > ChoidujourNX > Update > Reboot CFW with latest version

You can use USB install, which is sometimes quicker (cable and card depending)

Yes, just don't let your console go completely flat, otherwise you need to charge it for an hour with the wall charger before re-booting it
