and after dumping it (whiched turned out to be D5, but maybe its cuz the dumper can't read the second layer, or it could be that SSBB uses a D9, but only has D5 amount of data)
燒出來的遊戲，用D2C測試，可以玩
I tested the burnt game, i could play it with D2C
再將燒片放到D2B裡面，竟然可以玩，而且，我的晶片並沒有Disable
And then I put the burnt disk in the D2B, and I could play for some reason, and my chick isn't disabled
回家以後，要再測測看遊戲是否不完整
After I go home, i'll check if the game is complete or not
我總共重新開了四次，有一次在對打結束以後出現讀片Error
I restarted a total of 4 times, the first time i got a disk read error
其餘的三次，都可以打蠻多關的

希望有人也可以跟我一樣測測看

重點是，Wiikey也可以喔，本來我就是3.1了，也有玩Wiifit，所以原韌體的問題應該不存在

I'd be pretty sure decrypting and extracting the Wii image would show us the truth.. I tried it on a stripped image before it resulted in several 0 byte files.. so if the decrypted partitions are full of 0 byte files then it would mean the Wii dump tool was unable to read all data - making it again possible that a DVD9 might be required!

Well it might be that now the major release groups pick up that work.. however, they might not want to release dumps with the "incomplete" marking..

On another note, apparently this guy-> ( http://regreen.seesaa.net ) is attempting a dump of the image at the moment. He says that a standard game takes 17 hours (?) with his method, but he's not sure how long the dual layered disc will take or if it will work 100%.

Taking a look at that link, it seems his method is automating plscsi.exe (an app that allows you to send commands to your drive) - I myself wrote a batch script to do this when dumping Wii discs was being experimented on, and one or two others did similar. This method is extremely slow however (hence 17 hours, although theoretically it can be sped up by sending the correct commands). Notice that there is also a link to dvdinfopro on that site - you need to leave this running in the background to ensure the drive stays locked so you don't end up with corrupt data

Anyway, out of all that information and experimentation Rawdump eventually arose which does exactly the same thing, except it has a GUI, unscrambles discs automatically, and uses some tricks to speed things up significantly.

So what I'm most interested in hearing is why Rawdump is not working (presuming it's already been tried). It should at least be able to dump the first 4.5GB (or so) - the only reason I can think of that would prevent it from doing this is if the initial disc detection checks for a valid disc size/format (ie. GC or single-layer Wii disc), or if the data structure for dual-layer Wii discs is somehow different.

There is of course also FriiDump which is even open source, so size limitations can be increased if necessary.

When a proper J-NTSC leak is coming our way for PAL, we should arrange some things to play online. Because playing with the Asians = defenitly gonna be a laggy experience.
