I would love to see this feature appear on Snes9xGX! I wonder if the Wii could handle it.

Don't know if anyone has noticed this or just my end on the latest build of snes9xgx when I enable scanlines and take a save snapshot the image goes black. I tried with no scanlines and it works fine.

Hello there!

Yesterday I recompiled Snes9xgx 4.4.3 (including the latest 3 commits) using libogc with the latest commit from Extrems (this commit is still pending to be merged into the official libogc master branch) and I have thought that It could be useful for someone else.

This commit fixes enhanced definition video quality on Wii. Personally, I haven't noticed much of an improvement (I guess that some homebrew can benefit more than other from it). Anyway, judge yourself!

Hi all, it has been a while but I uploaded a new file Snes9x.GX.4.4.3_Clock.zip which contains a new option to enable the clock in the left bottom corner.

It can be found when playing a game under Game Settings, Video and it's called "Show Local Time".

The setting is not persistent, it's similar to the Show FPS settings for now.

@Bladeoner, the RPG Traverse - Starlight & Prairie freezes during the Intro with the stable 4.4.3 release.
I checked the previous stable releases. The last working build for this game is Snes9x GX 4.3.9.
I used a clean No-Intro rom file for testing.

@Dodain47 Did you test it also on Snes9x? I did test both but it doesn't seem to work.

I also tried changing the speed but that didn't fix it, right now I don't have an idea how it could be fixed since the hack and all code to perform the hack is removed.

Tested it on Snes9x on Windows, it works until version 1.55 after that it freezes.

I guess this an Issue that needs to be fixed in the latest version of Snes9x.

Hi, I'm new here and really love your Snes9x GX emulator.

I even bought a Retrode 2 to run my original cartridges :yaywii:

I knew that the controllers are not supported by Snes9x GX or other emulators before I bought it, but later I found a lot of HomeBrew which support USB gamepads. I started trying to understand the sources of nintendont and RetroArch. ... You probably know how this posting ends... Looks like that everything depends on everything (RetroArch) or the extracted code doesn't run (nintendont). Feel like a noob. :hateit:

HID Test (a small gamepad test program which comes with nintendont) does not react and unfortunately the sources weren't published. (AFAIK the author is @crediar whom I'm trying to contact, but got no response so far.)

Would you consider to support USB gamepads esp. the Retrode? Or has anyone USB gamepad example code?
I would even support development by donating a Retrode to the project :D

It seems that dborth dont want nothing via github. Only I said something that can be good.

------------------------------------
I think that make a snapshot with the same name as rom inside the snapshots directory can be fine.
So you don't need erase _1 with the pc.

Genesis plus gx let's do snapshots and see them without exit from the emulator.

I also saw an issue with a image that freeze all, I will see the changes with that. Maybe colours depth or alpha channel.

--------
The last thing freeze snes9x gx and rx.
I have to investigate the snap diffences.

Thanks

The problem with external hardware is there is too less information about them to make them work.

For me it's not possible to add it, sorry.

That's a pity, but I understand that's not your focus. Thanks anyway.
Well, I would also be happy with a standard USB gamepad example...

Is there any way that the cheat menu screen can have the cheat descriptions scroll or something? I can't see the whole name of some of the cheats with longer descriptions. I think a newer release of FCEUgx added this in. Thanks and great work Bladeoner!

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
