And you're just using the WiiVC Channel Booter DOL files with your title.txt in the TOOLS\HOMEBREWBASE\files folder right? That's what it looks like at least.

Yup. WiiVC Channel Booter renamed to boot.dol, a iconTex.png at 128x128, a bootTvTex.png at 1280x720, and a title.txt in TOOLS\HOMEBREWBASE\files that only contains four letters. And like I said, it's only for Wii homebrew, because I was able to successfully pack a Wii game the other day.

Has anyone tried using .gct cheat codes on injected Wii games? I'm having trouble making it work.
Just enable cheats and place your gct files in sd:\codes. If you're having trouble, test using nintendont from the homebrew channel or request support at the nintendont thread

I have, looks like a hassle but I'll add it to the list of feature requests. Probably won't be in the first re-write release.

nope ;)

edit: I saw that win10 automaticly made the 'g' a capital 'G'... so maybe that was the problem. Trying it out rn
edit2: nope, still same error :/
Delete your working directory and re-download the script, the script is complaining about temporary files already existing and access being denied to files.

Hello, I have tried to run WiiVC injector 2.2.4, 2.2.5 and now 2.2.6 on 3 different computers with 3 different networks on Windows 7 and Windows 10 with not64 forwarder, nintendont forwarder and a game.gcm but fail to get to the end with the message: robocopy fail error message.
I have uninstall java, reinstall it on 2 of the computers but no success. I tried to look at the registry for some java older version but no success so far. What could be the problem?

Lol for some reason I can't even delete anything from the folder, or the folder at all... Eventhough I'm the administrator of my PC it says I don't have the autorisation... And for some reason there are two unknown users that are above myself in the list of permissions... So, something went horribly wrong here I guess...
Edit: After trying again and again, I got to the point that I could delete everything except the TEMP folder :P Oh, well.. I'll see the rest tomorrow :P

Can we use this injector script to make WiiWare titles like Mega Man 9/Mega Man 10, Contra Rebirth, Gradius Rebirth etc? or is there a thread somewhere on here with instructions on how to get those on my main WiiU menu like everything else because that would complete my mission :D Thanks in advance

Are we able to use Gamecube's BIOS on injected GC games? I used to manage my saves from there when I use Nintendont from vWii. But the bios was put on vWii HDD, not on SD card. Can I put the BIOS on sd card so I can see the GC logo again?

I haven't been able to use cheats with Wii VC games in general, so I don't know if it's possible. I hope someone comes along and proves me wrong though.

My alternative is to backup the vWii saves via Savemii. Transfer the FE10_EU.dat file via FTP then load the save on Dolphin emulator. So far gecko codes are working.

Is there a compatibility list for Wii games, or do all of them work via Wii VC injection?
aside from loading call if duty black ops on usbloader gx with cios 251 i havent seen any wii games that needed any help to work, unless you are talking about compatibility with gamepad, there is a list somewhere on this site, but i forgot where, i think it is a wiki though

Nothing against Retroarch, but any chance in updating wii homebrew like vgbax, snes9x, wiiflow, USB Config, or LoaderGX to load from the vwii u with gamepad control support? I've tried to convert a couple already but there's no gamepad control unless i'm doing something wrong.

  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages
  • Veho @ Veho:
It does that when I edit a post.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It inserts a newline in a random spot.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
never had that i don't think
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
trying to restore emunand rn but it's taking ages... (also when I finished the first time hekate decided to delete all my fucking files )
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
