OS X calculates files sizes differently than Windows. Windows does 1024 bytes = 1 MB where as OS X does 1000 bytes = 1MB. I wish they didn't change it as it causes confusion between Windows and OS X users.Interestingly, I've run the python script under OS X at least 4 times, and each time it comes back with a 3.60MB size... 3,568,640 bytes to be exact.
Do you have a SHA1 on your file?
Thanks.
And why does OSX do that? I never noticed a difference in file sizes between using OS X and Windows though, but why is that?OS X calculates files sizes differently than Windows. Windows does 1024 bytes = 1 MB where as OS X does 1000 bytes = 1MB. I wish they didn't change it as it causes confusion between Windows and OS X users.
