Ok too many questions.
However, it will probably support homebrew, but maybe the easiest way would be to allow CIA installation.
And, all the nand operations wll be fully working on the next release.
Also, i decided to use mset 4.x as downgrade target becouse of many coding/compatibility/comfort reasons :)

you are great guy

maybe cia installation will make it easier to not brick when updating sysnand via CIA...
(For anyone interested, I haven't bricked anything as I haven't got my LLs yet. When I do I'm gonna get them NAND-modded and test the hell out of updating with CIAs... probably make a thread.)

Just to be clear, it should allow only homebrew CIAs and signed ones

Yes very good idea. The last thing we want is developers abandoning future releases due to no income from their software. I support this fully.

Any idea if region free will be in next release?

If Roxa blocked signed games then stuff you bought wouldn't work. So it's a no-brainer to allow it :P

I think this is what everyone has been waiting for. I'm stoked. I can't wait to have emulators, chmm, etc on the home menu. Not to mention how much easier it would be to run apps without having to switch to another exploitable nand. If this release works I'm buying you a round roxas. You may have brought life to the softmod end of the scene.

Edit

How does that work? Is there a generic signiture signing for homebrew software?

It is only speculation, but i would guess devs would have to send their homebrew to Roxas so that he can sign them and give them back a signed version (every single release ?), otherwise if it was signed using a public tool, it could easily be exploited to be able to sign warez CIA.

This is the plan B.
I have a cool idea to load unsigned executables and detetch if they are homebrews.
That would be cool. I don't see a lot of devs making a priority of getting there apps signed for a particular emunand tool. Most already make 3dsx, 3ds, and cia builds. Seems like it would be a chore for them, unless there were a place where people could request open source apps be signed by you. Also, wouldnt that limit my ability to use my own banners, icons, etc.? It would need resigned each time, which I wouldn't blame you for not taking the time to do. Hope this idea you have works.
