This is how I just bricked my 3DS... I do have a NAND backup (thank God for that) to restore to, but first i have to install a NAND mod first. Would've been nice if there had been a big red warning saying that this could brick your 3DS if you didn't know what you were doing.

I think by now we consider it common sense to stay away from system files unless you know exactly what you're doing.

So now that rxTools, unofficially has sig checks, patched... What's the point of PASTA? rxTools is launch-able from almost every public entry point, other than CN on firmware's higher than 4.x...

Patched rxTools is closed source too, so it's better to have a open source solution, maintainable for the future.

Ah yeah, I did see that, but I feel like I remember reading here and there about workarounds to getting it working on emuNAND. Maybe I'm crazy.

Basically. Still no GBA or DsiWare tho. DSiWare is easy to fix at the cost of Sm4sh not working.

That explains why the Sm4sh shop is accessible in RxTools but not Pasta.... But how are those two things connected at all?

Sm4sh and MH4U do a memory clearing process and reboot.

Well DSiWare does something similar to get you into TWL_FIRM, same goes with AGB_FIRM. The patches interfere with that process
