I believe the Track Packs have the same song structure as RB1 songs, so I guess they would be compatible.
On the topic of animation, I guess I don't really get to look at the band members while I play, but people who watch me play would probably find it boring to have the same camera angle and character animation all the time... I guess the most important animation is having a zoom on specific characters when they're in a particular section of the song (aka solos or other such parts).
P.S. On a completely different subject, I love the fact that most of the game is pretty much like the "real" versions of RB2 (360 and PS3), but I kinda miss the crowd singing with me, which is about the only feature that's missing, apart from achievements since there's no such thing on the wii.
