Hacking RawkSD

Quick question: First, I understand that I can't run RB2 off a USB loader or anything like that. I'm using a retail disc in the normal disc channel and I'm fine with that. I recently installed USB Loader GX using this guide. I haven't tried to play RB2 since then. I've been using RawkSD (1.x, I think). I don't fully understand everything it did about IOSes and such so... Should I expect the steps I took to install USB Loader GX interfere with RawkSD or my purchased DLC? Or can I just boot RB2 (again, a retail disc launched from the disc channel) and expect all my DLC and RawkSD imports to be exactly as they were before?

If it did mess them up, can I just go through the normal steps to install RawkSD like new without interfering with USB Loader GX or is there anything special I need to do? I didn't want to boot RB2 until I knew if it was screwed up because I was afraid of corrupting my save file or something like that.

Rock Band 2 depends on IOS37. Your purchased DLC is tied to your Shop Account and a list of what you've downloaded is saved in a special savefile. Nothing that you've done to get USB Loader GX working should interfere with this, as it uses cIOS249 and doesn't mess up the saves. It is possible to switch freely between Rock Band 2 via USB Loader and disc and they will use the same gameplay save (and without any real fear of save corruption), but DLC and RawkSD customs will not work correctly.

I previously installed songs with Rawk SD on my Wii and then I deleted them off my SD card and I put new ones on with the installer and such. Then I went back into RockBand and it still had the old songs from a while ago and I selected it and it obviously said cannot restore song or something, so what can I do to get my new Customs to show up.

You have to run the wii RawkSD app and choose "Install Customs" every time you change the songs on the card or download new songs.

Delete the contents of both the private/cRBA and rawk/rb2/customs folders and try again, by installing everything from PC again and then "Install Customs" on the Wii.

sucks ill have to remod a wii guitar. i like the gh strum clicky and modded my fender.
i wonder how much more practical to dual mod a 360 fender to work on wii.

Why would you have to mod your GH guitar? That is all I use for Rock Band 2.
