M3 Sakura user here. Just chiming in to say that the patch works AWESOME!

for M3 Sakura users, here's what you should do:

1.)Find the thread with the arms7 file + DS lazy, follow the instructions. This will get it to load your saves.
2.) Use this patch. I also used Rudolph's just to be safe.

Make sure you do both steps, otherwise your save file won't load!
2 hours, no crash. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

On my iTouch DS, it would still freeze for Heart Gold with the 3.0 patch.

The names as they're displayed ingame.

In the Katakana version when you encounter Bulbasaur his name will show up as ?????. In the localized version, when you encounter Bulbasaur he's "Bulbasaur".

The team thought this was a good idea in case you wanted to stay under the radar on Wifi and didn't want to look like a hacker or....get caught by Nintendo or something. :e

I never said whats being done here isn't impressive, the most I've ever done is a graphic translation of some menu buttons in the Klonoa RPG on gameboy advance (because I couldn't find it translated by anyone else), I imagine translating text is much harder.
However there are ways to go about things and making little demands about delaying patches and trying to belittle other translations is not the way to do it. None of the other translations are trying to do the same thing to this one, I just think its in rather poor taste.

The rom is trimmed as well as patched. It should be roughly 121 MB, with the current patch anyway.

Using the SS Katakana 3.0

I CAN confirm that there is no freeze in the game using a DSTT (regular not i).

However I once got a Black Void. Anyways close after that I got a freeze =S.

Thats all that happend since I patched my SS...

I'm using M3DSiZero flashcard with m3 sakura, and I tried to save right after getting access to the menu and it's just hanging there. Just says "saving a lot of data... Don't turn off the power." The music is still playing in the background but I guess it's frozen >

Of course they will, unless you use A.R codes to catch an opponent's Pokémon or to make them all shinies for instance

. The patches only translate and/or update the gameplay (by stopping the antipiracy-script from GameFreaks for example), they don't change the pokémon's locations or stats here, it's not like bloody diamond/platinum or platinum enhanced ed. ^^
