Heeeeeeey you and me both now haha
We both underestimated the method and got cocky. I've read it's super difficult to repair so I'd take it as a learning experience for next time and me personally, I think I'm sticking to the back side dat0 kamikaze. Let's say, 1 down and never again. My best kamikaze took me an hour but it was clean. Will aim for that sort of level of care next time.
I didn’t even know there was a back side dat0 kamakazi. Where is it at?

I'm sorry to read this, unfortunately it's always a lottery after all. if you have a black screen you probably interrupted the track. even if the tester continues to give you the correct value, if you don't fix the track it won't start
Yeah I kept getting the correct value so I must have just pissed something off unfortunately. Will take it as a learning experience. I have two donor oled boards I’m going to practice on before I do another for real

By track, are you referring to the Dat0 track!? Or some other track?

Hi! So I tried installing the chip on my OLED and it gave three quick yellow pulses (***). How do I fix it? Here's a video of it. There was no signs of image when I plugged everything btw

Weird... The RST cable seems to be fine. What value should the RST give? In scale of the diode
0 or ~1.45v depending on your multimeter. Could be a weak connection too.

Though 3 quick pulses means No Emmc response. What method did you use for the dat0 and also you can check the meaning of the codes near the bottom of the picofly guide pdf.

No images/black screen does usually mean emmc issue.

Weird just saw your video. Those are two quick pulses not 3!?
Why did you say you see 3 pulses when you literally recorded a video of it and uploaded it here and it showed 2 quick blinks!!!

After reading a bit of the forum threads, I saw you recommended someone redoing the track at the eMMC. I followed a video where a guy cutted it. Here's the link:

About the blinks, it was 2 quick yellow blinks 3x (thrice) so I got confused. Sorry for the confusion.

EDIT: I redid the track and resoldered the RST point. Now it gives me a long yellow blink and a fast one.

Advice to not be scared.

Does it require expert soldering skills?
It is said that before entering the sea
a river trembles with fear.

She looks back at the path she has traveled,
from the peaks of the mountains,
the long winding road crossing forests and villages.

And in front of her,
she sees an ocean so vast,
that to enter
there seems nothing more than to disappear forever.

But there is no other way.
The river can not go back.

Nobody can go back.
To go back is impossible in existence.

The river needs to take the risk
of entering the ocean
because only then will fear disappear,
because that’s where the river will know
it’s not about disappearing into the ocean,
but of becoming the ocean.

Alright. Got a little practice in on a dead board. Getting a better feel for it.
Why are you guy calling it dead. Just retrace it man. It just take you about 2' to retrace it with a little wire. You are wasting your money friend. And the front side a more easier than the backside. If you made mistake at the front you are likely double the chance of ruin it at the backside. I just do the backside when i fix customer board which they ruin the front side already.
