A few short questions: I need to revert my firmware back to 1.0E, or whatever firmware the Wii had when I bought it (currently on 3.2E, if it matters). Will a format do the trick, and if not, is there any other way to downgrade my Wii to 1.0E? And is there any way to back up things like Miis and Shop Channel data?
why would you want to downgrade to 1.0? 3.2 is the best firmware right now.
I want to downgrade to 1.0 and dump my NAND to emulate the Wii Menu in Dolphin.

Hi, got a few noob questions if anyone would be good enough to help plz

Got gamma 002 fix installed using the pack and guide provided on here by djtaz
also have wiikey v1 installed
currently on 3.2e with starfall all enabled

Bought Guitar Hero World tour (with drums & mic etc) 2 weeks ago but now my wii Fit board won't connect anymore. I also noticed wiiconnect was ON today instead of off.
Has my wii been updated? Its still on 3.2e tho'..... If using GHWT original disk through the normal game channel (rather than the backup launcher) has caused this, then can it be reversed?
Also tried downgrading to 3.1e today but now I get ticket errors 10015 & 115? Is that starfall stopping it?

Was also wondering if djtaz's pack has all the latest tweeks & revisions?

Thanks for any replies

so now that i have softmii installed can i install any vc game from any region without freethewads?
You don't need softmii for that. You could have done it even if you didn't have softmii, you just needed to be on 3.2.

Quick question. I installed two Wiiware games on my Wii, but now I want to remove them because well, turns out they are pretty stupid games. How do I remove them? Same way that they were installed..through the wad manager, and instead of pressing the + sign I press the - sign. just want to be sure before I do it. I still have the two games on my SD card

yes you just press the - button. If you uninstall it using the wii's options the tickets will still be there and you won't be able to reinstall it using wad manager.

Ok so I just go to Wad Manager, go to the game on the SD card, and just press - instead of + and it will remove itself..COOL, I just go through the same process as if I am going to install something but just press - and it will remove? Thanks for the info. Didn't want to make a mistake. The two games that I have well, they turned out to be kinda boring and it also took up too much space on my Wii. I only had installed 6 games and I already got a message saying I was out of space. I thought all those free blocks on the Wii meant that I can add more games but I guess not

Tiki Towers and defend your castle, utter garbage. I tried playing Tiki Towers and just didn't get it. is there a reason after just installing a few games that the blocks would already be full on the Wii..if it fills up that fast what is the purpose of having all those remaining free blocks on the Wii itself

i recently helped install softmii on a friends wii and when we put in mario galaxy the first intro movie lagged like hell, is this because of the 3x read?

also is their any idea on when/if 6x read will be working on backups?

There's probably no way you're going to be able to downgrade to 1.0. I don't think Ninty has that sysmenu on their update servers. Pretty sure I remember reading that on wiibrew.org but the site is down again and I can't go verify (they should get a new host).

Please can someone help.

I have soft modded my Wii, and have dumped Mario and Sonic using the DVD Dumper application.
I used an SD card, so have 3 .iso files. I have got them all in a folder on my PC, and want to join them together.

I have renamed the parts part1, part2 and part3.

I read that I have to use the cmd prompt to join them, but after trying for the last hour or two, I am unable to do this.
Can anyone guide me how to do this in real easy terms, as I am not getting anywhere with this.

This is what I tried:

copy /b part1+part2+part3 mario.iso
I get a mesaage that says that it can't find the path specified. I have only ever used the cmd box once before, so please bare this in mind if you are going to advise me.

Thanks

Your problem is when you open a command prompt, it's not in the directory where your files are. So you're trying to run that command on files that aren't there.
What I suggest to you since you're not used to working with the command prompt...
1. make sure your system is showing file extensions.
2. create a txt file in the same folder as the files you want to merge.
3. open the txt file and put your "copy file blah blah" line in it. save exit.
4. change file extension from .txt to .bat and run it.

Did you perform the update from Wii Fit or GH:WT..??

well you need to run some errands:
1)run Title Lister and find wich IOS uses WiiFit
2)run WUFE and install the IOS.wad that Wii Fit requieres
3) try again and post back if your Wii Fit worked

and try to install the cIOS36_r7 from waninkoko and run again the cIOS Dwongrader...!!

Thanks for the quick reply, but what you are saying has gone way over my head. Could you write it in an idiot proof way for me.

I have got the 3 files in a folder. I right-clicked on an empty space in the same folder, and selected New>Text Document.
I wrote copy /b part1+part2+part3 mario.iso in this. File>Save>File>Exit

I then went into my control panel, and changed my Folder Options to show file extensions.

I now have a folder with part1.iso, part2.iso, part3.iso and new text document.txt

I changed the .txt extension to .bat. My computer gave me a warning that it may become unusable.
I continued.
I then right clicked on the .bat and the selected Run as administrator, and then a cmd box briefly flashed on the screen. Now nothing.

I have a feeling it's the "copy" line, can you tell me what to write in it please.
