Nintendo 2DS "New Super Mario Bros. 2" bundle releasing this August

Despite Nintendo having recently released the New 2DS XL, it seems that the company isn't stopping focus on the older 2DS model. Nintendo of America's Twitter account showed off a new bundle that's set to hit store shelves on August 25th. Retailing for $79.99, it'll be a standard red and white original 2DS system, with New Super Mario Bros. 2 pre-installed. This is likely being released as a reminder that there's a budget-oriented option for Nintendo fans that aren't invested in the 3DS ecosystem yet.

And I'll try to do the same for you.

Nothing wrong with Mario there's a reason he's still around and obviously because people love Mario.
Nope, because people feel nostalgic, i believe if i remove all your unprecedented memories about playing any mario game, and gave you this, you'll probably throw it at my face.

it's here because it makes money, because idiots pay nintendo to keep being unoriginal, they also pay it to keep being bad at being original (Splatoon, that weird boxing game which is like a bad aging famous nes boxing game).

Not true at all , I like these type of side scrollers, quick fun little games to pass by some time and go off topic about another mario game, Super mario 3d Land is a big favorite, one of the few games my fiance and I sat down and played daily with each other and beat together. Had nothing to do with Nostalgia, it was a good and fun game. I didn't buy the game because it was nostalgic, I actually got it tossed in when I bought our wii u off someone.

Mario games are great for kicking back and relaxing and not getting to serious about. People pay it because they enjoy it, what's wrong with that?

You just seem to not like it therefore its bad, people are allowed to entitled to their own opinions not just yours.

You seem hellbent on trying to mock nintendo and mario and for what? Because you don't like it or find don't find it fun? Obviously many other people feel very different then you do, that doesn't mean its right to call them a idiot for it.

I do respect every opinion, i literally can't find anything wrong about YOU or anyone else paying for something they like, what i was talking about is the nostalgia marketing scheme that nintendo uses, i absolutly love nintendo for one thing, and you stated it, it's fun multiplayer entertainment, i admit it beats both sony and microsoft and any other competition on this domain, yes their games are made for family and friends, i am just like you, i really enjoyed mario on the nes, i even enjoyed new super mario bros on the DS, it was actually my second mario game, and last after i saw the repetitivness, then i opened my eyes wide, and saw that nintendo is always looking for a cash grab, a company that stops looking at their fans enjoyment level and rather look at their wallet greens is a worthless company to me.

If you're getting this, then i do hope, from the bottom of my heart, that you enjoy it, it's still a game after all, and games tend to be fun :)
I am sorry if i sounded harsh or stupid.

If they wanted to sell, they would remake super mario land 2, you know, the mario game with unique zones? When else does mario jump around inside a whale, lego land, or a whole halloween zone?

My 5 year old granddaughter plays the hell out of her doorstop. She beats the crap out of it too. It's really for young children. They're built like a tank. I just don't know if the average handheld console buyers are as smart as we think. Probably why eBay is full of broken hinge 3ds's?!

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
