So this is completely official? In that case, I'm certainly interested! I hope the name is a codename though. If it has 3D, 3DS is kind of clever, but really... Just think of something else Nintendo.

Yeah Nintendo did go off track to try out DS projects, while working on Gameboy 2, but seeing how things are faring with the Nintendo DS, a Gameboy 2 is highly unlikely, so forget about it.

the 3d thing... its probably gonna be like the DS's Touch Screen. Some games will use them Greatly, some will use it badly , some wont even use it.


and i can confirm that its going to have an accelerometer , because the developers said that its a must for the next DS!

Was merely stating indirectly that it took Ninty 3 fucking versions of the DS to "perfect it" and now they come up with this crap. Do we really want motion sensors? do you really want better graphics?...i mean how much better could it be? .... notice how long the GBA lasted, and the DS... also the games that came out for both.

i doubt we'll be seeing that lasting effect for this.

I buy the dsi at launch, then the dsi xl comes out which I ignore, and now this? They better give me a good reason to buy this one, because 3d alone ain't gonna cut it.

Nintendo released three versions of the GBA in a considerably less amount of time. Not to mention that just 3 years before the release of the original GBA they released the Gameboy Color. The DS has had a much longer life until the release of the next handheld. Still, the GBA wasn't dead when the DS came out. The same will be true this time; the DS will probably be supported for years after the 3DS release.

I really don't think this would be the title. It is just probably a working title or code name to use whilst developing it.

but OMG you guys i'm so flippin psyched right now I love announcements more than I love the actual product, it's so exciting! If it ends up being one large touch screen however then, you must all suck it.

Apart from 3D this system is probably going to be a huge step forward from the DS. Think iPhone graphics (at the very least) and lots of new games that you simply cannot play on a regular DS(i).

Apparently 5-12% of the world can't see in 3D...Nintendo is discriminating against us XD jk! I had a lazy eye, but it was fixed with surgery...I still can't see in 3D...ya know when you have to go to the eye doctor and they make you try to pinch the fly's wings...yeah I can't do it...it appears flat on the paper to me...oh yeah and don't try to play Pokemon Red after eye surgery...it doesn't work well
