I updated the link in my previous post. Now all enemy names are in english... sort of.

Here's a list of the ones I don't get, along with what I think it is:
ゴルトアクシス - Goltorxis
ネーミング - Neeming
マッド・ソンブレロ - Mad Sombrero
カリドア - Kalidor
グリンドア - Grindor
ハーピュイア - Harpuia
コラクス・ガ-ド - Corax Guard
スペクス・ガード - Specs Guard
マンティカン - Mantican
クアドリング - Cordling
ウィンク - Wink
ディスキプルス - Diskiples
アインストナーゼ - Einst Narseh
アインストラウネン - Einst Raunen
ガリベイン - Galibein
ブラグバルー - Bragbalu
ブラッド・シャスール - Blood Shasool
グラープ・マスター - Graap Master
エポラール・ヘッド - Eporal Head
オロプテロプス - Rhoptropus
アルメド・レール - Almed Rail
WR・ラヴレス - WR Ravless
WR・イーサッキ - WR Isakki
ソリッド・シャール - Solid Shawl
トイフェルダーク - Toifel Dark
ゴルペ・アール - Golbe Earl
カノーネ・ボウル - Kanone Boul
アメトラジャ・ドール - Ametraja Doll
スヴァロギッチ - Svalogich
ペルーン - Peloon
ストリボーグ - Striborg

Edit: Forgot to post this because it's not katakana
戦術からくり - My dictionary says, "tactics" and "device/mechanism". So, from my understanding, a person that blindly follows orders. Can anyone think of a good word for this? If I remember correctly, these are ninjas.

I just compiled a patch and the size of the patch was about 90mb.I think I'll go with a different patching format from now on.
Edit:Until a patch is created I will upload the bmenu.pk file here if anyone wants to apply it manually.bmenu.pk.

Instructions:Open your mugen rom with your favorite ds file extractor and inside you will find a file named data.srl you can also explore this file's contents as if it were an .nds file.Inside data.srl go to battle\sys and put bmenu.pk there.Don't forget to rename the file from bmenu.comp.pk to bmenu.pk

Okay, Noitora asked me to make a patch. I tried out a bunch of patching methods and the only one I can get to work is bsdiff.
I made a 100KB file and I think it works.
Download here.

To those of you familiar with bsdiff, all you need is the bdf file.
To those unfamiliar, I also included bspatch and a simple batch file. Follow the instructions in the readme.
This is the first time I've done this kind of thing. Tell me if it doesn't work.

I'm working on the script in the spreadsheet right now (I still can't find the script data).
I decided to put translation comments into the D column.
Editors should have another look at it when you have the time.

Edit: Translation is complete. Editors should really look over it, because I think my grammar broke towards the end.

Would that be the stuff at http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pOG...xNuHw&hl=en ?
I'll take a look through it.

[EDIT]

I'll be listing any changes made in the Comments column.

During one dungeon there's a group of monsters that are literally playing cards.
I'd go with a bit of leeway on the naming there and name them Heart Soldier, Diamond Soldier, and so on.

Vararesu...Varaless...Valaless...man, I have no idea...I don't think I'm far in enough to even guess at it.
Valasione possibility? It is the female version of Valsion.

Hey guys,

MNeidengard from Gamefaqs has a LOT of the game's dialogue I believe translated. It might help ya and maybe you could ask him for permission to use it.

I'm not sure if It's been posted or not yet: http://www.ugcs.caltech.edu/~mneideng/mugen.txt - Check it out.

Also, does version 3 on the first post have everything that's been patched so far included in it?

This game looks so fun, I appreciate all the work you guys are doing for it. Thanks a ton!

Valsione Einst? Hum... I'm not very sure which Einst would you be reffering to in the game, but that seems rather... Unlikely.
Also, the whole name of the Lichkeit is 'Persöhenlickeit', which means Personality in German. That seems to fit the romanization pretty well.

Hum... WR Ravress and WR Isakki. Clearly that's WR Loveless and WR Iasakki, precisely due to Lamia Loveless and Echidna Iasakki.

Oh, and as for that comment on the spreadsheet, on the phrase "We're escorting a wolf, or so they say" is either something regarding a popular phrase or relating to Kaguya's surname, Nambu, and the fact that the Shadow Mirror Kyosuke Nanbu is called 'Beowulf', and in fact, he's often called 'wolf' too.

I made a patch, it's on the page before this.

Personality, huh? That's quite a name for him.
Then I'll officially name him Persohen Lichkeit.

So, I should leave it since it's a reference?

I suppose leaving the "We're escorting a wolf, or so they say" part should be checked over first by somebody who knows proverbs and stuff, given i'm really uneducated on japanese proverbs

Also, some possible aid. Those are the name of the canon Einst (Einst means 'first' in german) units:
Einst Knochen (First Bone) - The bony one
Einst Gemmuet (First... Armor?) - The one that looks like a suit of armor
Einst Glied (First Vine?) - The one that looks like the viny thing and fires beams of energy
Einsteisen (Name created fusing 'einst' and 'alteisen') - Einst version of the Alteisen

Those are the names of the ones that have appeared in the Original General series, thus, we have official english names for. Rather, German names. I do pay more attention exactly to that part of the translations ^^

In a while i'll check over the Spirit commands (being that the 'Ability' official english name in OG) and see what can I do in regards to canon names

I've already checked a super robot wiki on SWR W's spirit commands and matched them to those ones.

Randomly... Aschen's Phantasm Phoenix. Are you sure that's Phantasm and not Phantom?
Reason I ask is because Phantom Phoenix is the name of the Angel's (Lamia's unit) ultimate attack. However, I wouldn't doubt that Aschen's Frontier would have a slightly different but nearly equal name

I forgot about this, but...yea, what you said.
At the same time, the move doesn't resemble Lamia's move at all really.

On a side note, I finished a first edit of the currently available script. There may or may not be text spillover since I don't know the character limit per line.

There is definitely an S (or maybe a Z) in there before the M. She says the name of the attack when you use it.

Hum... Right, having used her Frontier just now I can attest that there really IS something there, though I had always taken that as an accent >_O I guess I just need to hear better.
Either way, it then should probably be Phantasm being a 'misquote' as are many of Aschen's quotes, as far as i'm aware

Donryu, I've found where the script is located.Take a look at the file 011_002.sb
Edit:I am almost finished with the opening.I just have to find where the control codes for the text's position are because some of the text doesn't show up correctly.

I can't really be bothered with unpacking/extracting/repacking/hacking or whatever you have to do to get the text dumps, but if you can provide me with the texts, I can help with translations as well (I can't open Excel 2007 files).

I did a quick translation of the prologue, but you may have to edit it to make it fit within the game. Feel free to fix any mistakes I may have made.
????????????
?????"?????"
??????
...How long ago was it
that this world began
to be "built up?"

??????????
???????
Some say that it was thousands,
tens of thousands of years ago.

??????????
???????
Others say that
it has always been so.

????????????????
???????
......however, not a single person
knows the truth.

????????????
Only one thing is certain.

??????????????
?????????????
????"?"????????
????????
Only that whether near or
infinitely far away, all worlds
are connected by a "portal"
called a "Crossgate."

?????????????
?????????
????"??"?????
The chance meetings between
inhabitants of other worlds led to confusion,
and before long brought conflict.

??????????????????
?????????????
????????????????
The war ended quickly......
And the world, while preserving a delicate
balance, existed in peace.

???????????
???????????????
????????????????
But...23 years ago.
A wreckage of what looked like a
"flying battleship" fell out of nowhere.

?????????
?????????
It would alter the history
of the world.

???"???????"?????
...the history of the "Undiscovered Land."

????????????
????????????????
...How long ago was it that this
world began to be known as such?

???"??"??
????"?"??
???"?"?????????
Many worlds,
all people,
and even "time" meld together.

????????????????????
......This is the Endless Frontier.

Also, I edited a few lines in the spreadsheet (40, 41, 227, 228, 229). If you don't like the edits, you can change them back. But 227, 228 and 229 were wrong, and now they're correct. I'll edit more when I have time.

Hope this helps.
