Perhaps you could put in some sort of power-ups that would allow you to be come impervious for a short time to acid and enemies. Maybe the enemies could even die when touched?

Thanks for the suggestion but that's not what I planned for this game. Never say never, but I'm not entirely sure I will implement it.

there isn't a level designed yet that is so hard that an invulnerability power-up would be required. when the game was faster paced it felt more challenging, and i guess some would say more difficult, to avoid the acid drops and guardians on some levels. but thanks to the tweaked speed of the gameplay and various elements, this is no longer an issue. it all comes down to simple gaming skills. either you have the skills to transverse the levels or you need to develop them. making the game easier would just hurt its integrity. it is a puzzle platformer, it shouldn't be so easy that you can just walk right through some parts.

That was pretty much what I was thinking. I want it to be a puzzle platformer, not an action game. Thinking about how to overcome obstacles, rather than just blasting everything that moves.

Anyway I am working on it again today, so hopefully by the weekend I'll have it finished. Although Zelda A Link Between Worlds might have something to say about that.

@SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

@SylverReZ, i think they have been doing that since late 2000s

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
