Hacking iTouch2 + Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box

So I got all the way to the "final" puzzle (No. 138 The Elysian Box) and at the point where you make the "sun rise" it freezes up. Has anyone played thru a backup of the game and had this happen (on itouch2 or any other flash cart) or have you gotten past this point on another cart? I'm using an itouch2 with 3.3 firmware on a DS Lite. The backup of Layton 2 is untrimmed.

Try redownloading it. If nothing works run the game on a DS emulator for Computer to get past that point.

the problem was simply having real-time saves enabled. the closest regular save point was about 10 minutes prior to that puzzle so i guess i never tried that.
