I should of waited a bit before I disassembed the chip!

This looks like something is shorted to ground. You mentioned B point no readings? Check if B is bridged to the little resistor near B.

Have you read the issues revolving around the usage of pads? With those blobs shorts happening isn't out of the question with how bad the pads are.

Are the soldering pads any better in the black version of the Instinct-NX chip?

Thanks, I just checked again, it is not bridged to any resistor.
Its not even giving a reading at the origin point :o

on the modchip, the 3 identical looking chips with 3 legs on the left side and 2 on the right. measure on the top right pin for each

I put the multimeter in diode mode with black on the ground point and red on the top right legs (the side with the 2 legs):
I got these results:
1) 0.659v
2) 0.946v
3) 0.302v

My switch literally stopped working overnight, the chip flashes Red then purple, then stays White for 2 seconds and turns off, the console Is not booting : /. What does the White led signal?

ahh i see, I earlier removed the modchip
I will put it back together tomorrow

I note that with the mod chip removed, the switch does not start in OFW.
Is this because the CPU cable is still attached and is joining the points?

Thanks, I just checked again, it is not bridged to any resistor.

I would try to remove the cable and the solder with a wig. The point B itself need to have around 2.9V.

with modchip disabled switch should work fine. probably something is damaged/shorted
