Homebrew gbaemu4ds: GBA emulator for DS(i) (DSi Entry)

Is the graphic better if you use the sc Version and the upper screen on a 3DS

  • I can't do that (have no 3DS) (have not tested that)

wtf.gif

so there will be support for the dsi?

1.this is a test version vor DSi to find out how mutch ram for the rom buffer can be allocated in DSi mode

2. Not every game is compatible with this general all games that are bigger than 2MB can only be compatible if you have some extra ram (DSi mode or something else)

3.yes

Do not understand how it is possible the ds lite has the ability to emulate NeoGeo which has superior graphics than the gba games and are larger and reach 90 mb ..... and I could not emulate games at most 30 mb ....

Hehe. I missed this info.
Max size is 14 680 064.

Perhaps this memory could be used to make a buffer for a virtual memory file on the microSD ?

The GBA had a faster CPU than the NeoGeo, 'quality' of graphics has nothing at all to do with anything. The entire game is loaded into RAM in this emulator, the DSlite has only 4mb total, which has to fit the emulator and whatever memory it is using plus the game. It might be possible to access the games directly on the sd card, but that's not for me to attempt.

I just tried R5 on my DSi but I can't load games, I press A on the .gba and nothing happen.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong (I tried Mario advance 1, 4MB, maybe too big/unsupported yet)?

Holy sweet fuck, I never thought GBA would run on DS without the use of DSTwo.
I hate it, when people forget the good old iPlayer :/

I feel so bad for the iPlayer. It got washed away by the DSTWO...

I am glad I waited and didn't get one. I still want one now though, for the lulz.

boudincaca (funny nickname ^^), are you sure you run the DSi version arm9.nds file and not the ds version hwspeedup.nds ?
Because on my side the DSi version white screens.

Yes I was using hwspeedup because arm9.nds does white screens for me too.

So this is why I wasn't able to run my files, they were too big.

OK next try http://www.mediafire.com/?wujdoyc1wz2c5k3

I can't test it because i don't have a flashcard any more

but with nitro and nds emu all the all version are working

ups i forget something both arm9 and hw can use the extra ram from the DSi
Is there a limitation about directories on the root ? The file browser doesn't display all of my 26 folders (10 only).
QUOTE(boudincaca @ Mar 13 2011, 06:03 PM) This is better, we can now access files but it freeze upon loading .gba file.
Same report.

And to add, with the hwspeedup.nds i'm not able to run a .gba file on my dslite + 3in1.
A key seems to not operate.
Ok on my DSi in DSi mode but like for the arm9.nds, it freeze right after launched the .gba.

Thanks for the heads up about the left/right browsing.
The file browser act very weirdly i have to admit. When i go to the right to reach the file gba.gba and try to launch it by pressing A. Nothing happen.
When i enter a folder and try to run a .gba file inside, it freeze.
And it also freeze when i just enter and leave a folder.
The issue seems to be more on the file browser i think.

Edit : Seems to be tied to the filename lenght. i can run a long filename .gba from the root but not a short, like gba.gba or 10MB.GBA.
