Emulation GCN Controllers not responding with Nintendont VC Injection with GC games

Hey guys

So I tried using UWUVCI and TeconMoon to inject GameCube games into my Wii U but no controller responds.

I tried:
Wiimote
Wiimote + NunChuck
Wiimote with Classic Controller
Wii U Pro Controller

I am starting to think it is just not possible to play it in this way but thought I ask before I completely give up as I am not finding any answers on the internet.

Edit: Found out why it is not working. I do not have an official controller
